I finally got a QB that wasn't throwing terrible INT's and was able to move out of the pocket and throw on the run. I've been waiting for this season to use DJ, I mean in my offline I decided to use DJ his sophomore season and I benched Rob Kass, but with our dynasty I figured it would be better to use my 84 OVR QB Kass and wait one more season on my 66 OVR QB DJ. Kass was good last year, he didn't throw many picks, but he couldn't move out of the pocket worth shit and as a result he was sacked alot!

I'm pumped about this season, I think I've got a chance to contend, but next year will really be the year when I can get some speed added to my defense.

Oh and I got my other game done last night as well. I beat Va Tech 37-28, McFadden threw 2 INT's in that one, but I'd rather him do it to the Hokies than to whobe next week... so I hopefully now I've found out exactly what I can and can't do with DJ.

Against the computer SPEED KILLS! Hell, they can't stop my guy with 93 speed. I can't imagine what it would be like with guys with 99.

The only way ot curb this is allow the computer AI to be smarter. Hence, bumpin it up to Heisman! I am 100% down for this, I think it makes every game that much harder. However, I doubt others will agree to this! Obviously we would need to readjust sliders. But I think as are ratings continue to rise........this is something we should do!

Yeah, I was going to say that if the adjustment I made last night didn't work. It IS all about the speed. With a guy with 96+ speed you hit the edge and he is gone.

We will eventually get to the Heisman level, I mentioned this after the first slider adjustment (after Year 1) that probable by year 4/5 we will HAVE to switch to Heisman settings to prevent constant blowouts against highly rated computer teams.

While I am all for moving to Heisman level, not everyone wants that or is ready for it. And we would need a majority of the players that would want to move to Heisman if we would switch. I don't want to be a dictator or anything. Also any switch we would do would be at season end.

I think there is still far too great of a descrepancy between the teams overall ratings. I personally would be fine with moving but if my team was rated below an 80 it would be very difficult to beat any highly ranked teams.

I'm guessing we'll be ready to move up in 2/3 more recruiting cycles. Heisman is a big jump

I got your back, one reason I haven't forced the issue more. I know myself, msj & you took lower rated teams that couldn't recruit well right away and is taking time to get speed. I know for me I didn't have a WR with 90+ speed til this year.

But me thinks the time for Heisman is coming soon, either next season or the season after that.

It's not that big of a jump... that is what sliders are for :wink2: But it comes down to what we want in this dynasty. And mostly everyone is here for fun and losing 2-3 games to the CPU in a season is not fun.

And I know... rushing for 300-400 yards per game is 'fun' but at some point that gets boring (at least to me anyway)

Whats the current standing of things right now? Are we still in week 2? Just wondering, because I don't have immediate access to my PS3 right now, and I'm trying to figure out when I'll need to free up some time to play whobe for week 3.

Still in week 2. We're waiting on buchtel and Piney, and Me and THEWOOD to play our games against each other. THEWOOD won't be back in town until tomorrow, and I don't know when we'll be able to play.
