MSJ has decided... the ACC it is!

So with that here is the conference lineup for 2010.

Pac10 - BYU & TCU (or Fresno St, or whatever)
Big12 - Colorado & Oklahoma St or Texas A&M
SEC - Oklahoma St or Texas A&M & Ohio University (formerly SMU)
ACC - Virginia & East Carolina
Big East - South Florida & Army

The teams I will be kicking out of those conferences...

Pac10 - Washington & Washington St
ACC - Duke
Big East - Syracuse? (the only real choice, right?)
SEC - Miss St & Vandy (Ohio will be in the East Div and TAMU/OSU in the West) also, this would keep the Ark/TAMU rival together if TAMU goes to the SEC.

So Basebuck what do you think? You will still have an inter-conference rival by moving to the SEC. I would need to schedule an OOC game against Oklahoma.

It's a tough call because I have 3 rivals in the Big 12 so I always have a home rivalry game.
Why wouldn't Colorado move to the Pac-10, TCU to the SEC and TAMU to the Big 12 North(or keep them where they are), and leave oSu in the Big 12 south?

Colorado would be playing conference games in or near their recruiting base. TCU would be playing games in or near their recruiting base. If TAMU has three Big 12 rivals, the likelihood of them not playing one at home is much lower than anyone else moving, even if they were in the north, and on the occasion that all three Big 12 rivals were off the schedule, or all away, Arkansas could be added to the OOC as a home game.

Yeah, I'm definitely out after my game against Ohio State in this dynasty, and I won't be joining the new Piney Dynasty right away either. I just got engaged this weekend, and I'm going to be extremely busy for most of the summer, and into the fall.

I just won't have time run the Big Ten-Pac 10 at the pace that we need to go to get a full season in, and be in this dynasty.

I definitely won't have time to run the Super Conference Dynasty, and spend the time practicing and recruiting for two or more teams.

I'll get my game in tonight, and if fanatic wants to setup a UK vs. BYU showdown, then I'll be able to squeeze that in some time this week. After that it will be all B10P10 or Super Conference for awhile.
Congrats on the pending marriage.

If we're going to play, the sooner the better. My wife is being induced on Thursday if she doesnt go into labor on her own.

Congratulations to you too!

If you're available tonight, then I'm game. I should be able to dispatch Ohio State when I get home ~6 PM EST. Anytime after that should be ok.

I like Iron's idea. Who are Colorado's rivals? If we do this I would prefer to stay in the Big 12 south. That's where all my rivals are.

The more and more I think about moving conferences the less I want to move. I would prefer to stay in the Big12

I'm thinking the same thing.

EDIT: Congrats guys. I also have a new one coming in a few months.

All I am seeing is Colorado State.

I would be willing to go to the North, as long as I got to play Oklahoma still every year.

The only way to guarantee that would be to move Oklahoma to the North too. NCAA 09 would never let me schedule Big Ten teams against each other as OOC games when they didn't play during the conference schedule. I don't imagine that NCAA 10 would allow that either.

Colorado has Nebraska if I am not mistaken as their rival.

'Mania would have to chime in regarding if he is willing to move. But I think the big reason wood & basebuck wanted to split up was due to their difficulties in playing against each other.

But Iron is right regarding OU v OSU, I would have to move OU to the north to make sure that you play them every year wood.

Here is something that hasn't been brought up. Since you can't create Rivals in Team Builder, combine that with ALL of these teams being created in Team Builder. Even though we are recreating Texas A&M and etc, it might not be guarenteed that those rivalries would even be there since the teams come over from Team Builder.

So what I am really hoping is the key for rivalries will be the team that they replace when I input the teams into our dynasty (ie I replace Texas A&M with Texas A&M they keep those rivalries). If that doesn't happen, NO ONE will have rivalries.

We really won't know til we have 2010 in our hands and check it out.

Iron - I will advance it to your game as soon as I get home. So that will be around 5:30 or so. Should be done by 6pm when you will be getting online.

You wouldn't mind if I made crazy hard sliders so Ohio State has a chance to beat ya, would ya :wink2:
