NCAA09 PS3 BP Online Dynasty

I'd love to carry over my Army team. I'm actually starting to get some decent recruits, and if I do good in the Big Ten, I may even start getting some of the elite ones.

That said, some people may want to change. I'd like to carry over Army, but if someone also wants to change teams, I say we let him.

Also, if for some reason we decide to not carry over and start from scratch, I'll have to change teams. Building up bad teams is really fun. It felt great when I finally beat a good team, and that didn't happen until the third season. However, it takes time. An season in our online dynasties average about two months to complete. By "importing" Army into NCAA 10, I get about six more seasons to continue to build them up. Who knows, if I can ever beat Buchtel and win the Big Ten, I could be seeing Army in the Rose Bowl. How fucking cool is that?

I'd like to see the option of importing teams if you want to. If you don't, if you want to start from scratch, then you have to choose a sub 80 OVR team again.

Whatever our final season will be, we would advance to Pre-Season (ie, do the post season recruiting and final position changes/cuts). I will then copy everyone's roster down and attributes. Then I will create everyone's team in the Team Builder feature. Then when we start the 2010 dynasty your team will have all the same players/attributes.

You'd have to do this manually for every team?

Well, each team owner could do their own team (like really, who is going to cheat when I can just double check the team versus the 2009 version). Or I could do them all. The good thing is we can build the team via the internet so the interface shouldn't be hard to do (in theory) and then I just grab your team from the EA Locker (well, this is how EA is saying how it would happen)

I wouldnt mind taking my Colorado team to '10

would you just move one of the big 12 teams to another conference since there are currently 3?

This is where the 'build your own conference' thing adds to this. I could move Colorado to the Pac10 and Army to the Big 10 and ECU to the SEC. So I can fix some conference things.

Or, you can really be creative. Let's say you don't want to be Colorado anymore and want to be another team. But you really want to carry over your Colorado players versus starting fresh. There really isn't any reason why I couldn't build your Colorado players at Arizona St for an example.

Or a better example. While it was fun being SMU, I am pissed I wasn't my alma mater (Ohio University). I could technically move my SMU players and just create the team as Ohio University. Or I could start fresh. Cuz while this example works in my case, what if Iron wants to move his Kentucky players to Navy (since Iron has mentioned this is what he might do) Iron, I know you said you would take the default Navy, but just using it as an example. That would throw things out of balance with Army v Navy being a mismatch due to talent.

Also, the latest release from EA Sports has reworked recruiting and such things. Basically they are fixing the speed of recruits and lowering their overall ratings and having a more aggressive progression model.

So if you are behind in team speed now, there won't be as many speed recruits to make up for it the difference in team speed. Then again, we don't know how 2010 will play. Maybe the slower, higher rated players will actually 'play better' than pure speed guys we use now. (ie that 72 rated 99spd HB might actually suck compared to a 87 rated 90 spd HB)

But like Wood says, if we find out this all sucks, we can scrap everything and start fresh.

While we're discussing speed and creating teams, maybe we go back to our original speed conversation, way back when, and limit the speed of offensive players to less than 95. I actually think that an RB max of 93 and a WR max of 95 is fairly realistic. Defensive players could be as fast as the game allows, so long as no defenders have any offensive stats.

That would remove a ton of the exploits from the game.

I dont really like that idea, if you are able to recruit 95+ speed players you should be able to keep them at HB or WR

I would be pissed if I was finally able to get a 98 or 99 speed WR and forced to move him to defense or knock his speed down

I have a few recruits coming this week to visit.

Wanted to see who may or might commit so I saved offline and simmed.

One CB Basebuck and I are going after keeps showing up as us both having visits scheduled in week 5. It always gives me an F for the visit and sometimes kicks me to second, sometimes not.

Anyone with experience with that?
