NCAA09 PS3 BP Online Dynasty

Ok, the human schedule is winding down so we are back to mainly all cpu games. So we will be back to a more forced Thursday/Sunday schedule starting with this Thursday night as the next advance.

Also, now people will be playing the cpu. I want feedback on the sliders. Since I screwed up and couldn't copy the sliders from last year, I am hoping we got the sliders right. So let me know about gameplay as I will tweak it as soon as I get enough feedback about it.

as far as advancing to week 5??

We WILL advance tonight at around 10pm, or if one of the above tell me they can get to it later tonight, I will advance it no later than tomorrow morning before I go to work. (ie 6am)

They seem the same to me. I still wish I could get a bit more of a pass rush from my d-line, but that's it. However, if someone has a RB with less than 95 speed, he will probably feel the RB attribute needs to be bumped a little.
I'd like to see it set to 50, to make the speed rating even across the board. i.e. a 90 speed RB not getting run down from behind by a sub 90 speed defensive player without an angle. But I won't kick and scream if it stays at 45.

Now that it's back to 45. My 93 speed guy is more useful. My 88 and 89 speed guys are really only worthwhile at FB, but that's where I have them on my depth chart anyway. I had to pull the redshirt off of one of my 99 speed RBs in order to take some carries away from Shelton, without having a huge dropoff. My 90 rated guy that should have been Shelton's backup only has 90 speed and was rendered useless with the previous sliders. I'll throw him back into the backup spot in my next game to see if he'll be worth a shit, now that we're back to 45.

I actually like the Run Block and the Break block sliders where they are now. All of my highly rated RBs are now able to consistently run for 2, 3, or 4+ yard gains up the middle, regardless of speed, but Shelton and Davis aren't able to get to the corner on an inside run that's bounced to the outside, unless the defense completely sells out to stop the inside run.

The passing game is back to normal now too, but that could be because I switched from a running QB with good THP(91) and average THA (83?), to a pocket passer with good THP (92) and THA (90?).

Yeah, sliders seemed the same to me too. Then again I only had 2 running plays

We did advance last night, I updated post #1 with results, records & rankings.

Next advance Sunday night

Ok, since this is being discussed in the 2010 PS3 super-conference thread. Wanted to bring it to this thread to get everyone's ideas/vote.

With 2010 having a Team-Builder (ie create a school) in it. Technically what we could do is copy your current team into 2010 and basically continue this dynasty into NCAA2010.

So this leads to 2 thoughts, is everyone planning on getting 2010? 2nd, Do people want to keep this thing going for 2010?

Here is how it would work, if everyone wants to do it.

Whatever our final season will be, we would advance to Pre-Season (ie, do the post season recruiting and final position changes/cuts). I will then copy everyone's roster down and attributes. Then I will create everyone's team in the Team Builder feature. Then when we start the 2010 dynasty your team will have all the same players/attributes.

In other words... it would be like we continued this dynasty, but just we are playing on 2010 versus 2009.

THE GOOD - You spent this past year building your team in your image, no need to rebuild a new team. You built a kick ass team? You reap the awards. You built a crappy team to a very good team, you can now finish the job you started.

THE BAD - How big of a gap will there be between the kick ass teams versus the teams that have been built from nothing? While you can switch teams, would you be at a disadvantage over guys that carried their team over? Or, is it just time to move on and start fresh for 2010?

This is something that we need feedback on rather quickly. As we are in the last year or two (we should get another season after this in before 2010). Cuz this does affect recruiting. Since if you figure only 1-2 season left before this is scrapped, that would affect how you would recruit (technically in our last season, there would be no need to recruit anyone)
