I think you'll only get one year out of him He's a Sophomore(RS) now, so he'll only be eligible for his Senior season. I'm still going to try and talk him out of it though. So don't go counting chickens yet. :tongue2: I think that you're in danger of losing some transfers too. I just don't remember who, or how many.
Adversely.

As long as I don't lose my backup QB and a few of the LB's and one OL. Every other position I have better talent coming in

- Army may have a shot at moving to the Big Ten.

Kick ass. When I simmed, the only move I saw was BYU getting an invite to the Big 12. I'm surprised the Big Ten's inviting me. I thought the Big East would be the conference.

Piney, if it happens, I'd love it. Outside of the annual seventy-point blowout loss to MSU, it should be fun.

As for how promises effect (Or is it "affect?" I never get it right.) recruits, I promised the world to my freshman RB. When I took the dynasty offline, he wasn't leaving. Of course, he started from day one and won the Heisman, so he should be pretty happy.

I simmed twice. The first sim only had BYU to the Big 12. The second sim had SMU to the Big 12 and Army to the Big Ten.

Any other promise to other players? Any other freshman that could leave?

I ask because, the e/affect of the promise isn't necessarily on the guy that you made promises to. The promise to your HB could cost you a safety, a corner, or someone else.

I think so. I think a lot of my corners were promised something. As Army, I have to promise players things. I promised my frosh RB the world because Virginia was also after him and he was seriously considering them.

Here's what I noticed. If you promise playing time, the guy better be #1 on the depth chart. Being the second DT, WR, or CB isn't enough. He may start, but he's not #1. Stupid, but that's the programming. Last season, when I had to talk my freshman starters into staying, they all started from day one, but they were the #2 WR and #2 CB. When I simmed this year, I have no transfers.

I don't think promising automatically causes players to leave. I think it's flawed, but I don't think there's a glitch.

I've had players that were #1 from day one, and still wanted to go. All promises were kept. Like I said before, I think that promises greatly effect transfer requests. I also said that I don't think banning it is the way to go either. Just buyer beware. You're going to spend a ton of time trying to get players to stay.

If I had freshman wanting to go, and all of the guys that I may lose to the draft. I may have had way too many guys to even try to keep all of them. As it is. I may still have a problem with a lot of my first recruiting class wanting to go pro or transfer. But at least I won't have any of last year's recruits trying to get out.

I'm glad you got him and it worked out for you.

Didn't really know WTF I was doing with recruiting at first or even most of this year (I've mentioned before the last video game FootBall game I played was Gamebreaker 98 on PS1). Still have a lot to learn but it's coming along. I'm kinda worried about this Transfer stuff of which people speak. Sounds like it has the potential to anger me.

What's the thought process on teams moving conferences this year?
My suggestion is to let anyone that wants to move, move. Scheduling 4 human opponents for everyone might actually be easier that way. The Big 12, even with 5 teams (more likely 4), would have 4 human opponents in conference. 5 if you make the CCG. They would then be the keeper of the NCG for the rest of the league. This year we were sweating it out whether the obvious best team was even going to make the NCG. If the Big 12 guys get all of their human games in conference, then they can play the USCs and Notre Dames that may slip by without playing any of us.

The rest of us will still have to play the majority of our OOCs against each other, and the Big 12 guys could get away with playing between zero and two OOCs against a human opponent.

Yeah, but that sucks playing the same teams every year. It's already bad enough in the Big 12 with 3 teams. I like playing a variety of human teams. You play the same person 1 or 2 times each year the games get extremely difficult because they are so familiar with your style.

WOOD/Mania, what do you guys think?

Maybe you should leave TAMU then. In fact, you should pull a Dick Rod and leave before your bowl game. :wink2:

I am ok with another team joining the conference, given that each person in the dynasty has the exact same amount of HUM opponents during the regular season.

I should also state that if they were to join the conference it would be best if they were in the North division. This would be 2 teams in each.
