You created a spreadsheet for this? Damn, we're not playing this for money, are we? If so...I...uh...I'll be right back...
Not anything fancy. Just text in boxes. I keep track of Player's name, star rating, 40 time, bench, and squat. I keep track of the 40, bench, and squat because you can't view those from the recruiting board. Name and star rating so I remember which players were higher rated, and who turned out to be booms or busts. I also keep track of my calls. I don't call everyone on my board every week, so I just put an 'X' next to the week in that player's column, so I know if I should call him the following week. My offered guys get calls every week, but the other guys don't. I need to know who I've neglected, and who I've called more than warranted. This is the first season that I've tracked my calls, and it's not working out as well as I thought it would.
Also, my setup is different than the typical PS3 setup. I originally had it hooked up to an HDMI port on my 50" plasma, but didn't like monopolizing the big TV, or playing PS3 on the split screen (the plasma only has a 16ms refresh rate too...not ideal for gaming), so I moved it into my office. I have two 22" LCD monitors connected to my computer. I use one of them as my primary monitor for my PC, and the other as my PS3 monitor using an HDMI to DVI cable, and I hook the sound up to a little stereo in my office. Having the PC and PS3 right next to each other makes it much easier to keep track of everything. Although, in previous years I would always track the recruits names and star ratings on a pad and paper, but only the ones that I ended up with. So, I'm not taking it any more seriously than I have in the past. I'm just a big nerd. Always have been.
