NCAA09 PS3 Big Ten-Pac Ten Dynasty (Official Thread)

Evan Royster is a nice RB. I am not running option all day for his 300 yd games. I am running off tackle and up the gut and he is very good a breaking one tackle and has good enough speed to break it outside and go.

Hall & Jordan,

Not really with Oregon... but those were sick numbers Garrison & Glover put up though :wink2:

Really I am jealous, Oregon is just sick.

There were a few games where I just played around but I generally only used them a handful of time each game.

Oregon is rediculous.

Ease of schedule making. Throw everyone in a 12 man league.

Speed moving through the schedule, having some control over human vs. human games, and not having people frustrated with losing 5+ games every year. Do what Piney is going to do and stick two teams in each BCS conference, and schedule OOC's to add more human vs. human opponents.

My suggestion is to do something like Piney is doing, especially until you know how dedicated the dynasty is. My dynasty (with up to 8 human games per season) would move too slow for most people, and they'd probably lose interest in the dynasty.
how many human v human OOCs are we talking? 2? 4?

Depends on the conference. Pac-10 only has 3 OOCs, and the Big East has 5. Every other BCS conference has 4. Schedule as many as you can/want. The only real issue that you run into is in the Big Ten. You have to make sure that your two human teams are rivals, so they'll be on each others schedule each season. Every other conference either plays a round robin or has a championship game to make sure that no two teams go undefeated. But you already knew that.

The reason that I say not to do a Big Ten/Pac Ten type of thing is that those two conference are the only two with a guaranteed bowl mathchup, and the Big Ten schedule screws everything up. If the Conference altering stuff allows you to setup bowl matchups, then doing two separate conferences could be a good idea. Another idea would be to put four teams in each of the 12 team conferences, and have 2-4 OOCs between the three conferences in order to even out the number of human opponents. Figuring out a league champion would be kind of difficult though.

Iron, I am not sure I am going to be able to get on in the next day or two. Would you like to play a game as Bly? Don't really want you to sim, but not sure I can get on....If you would like to have some fun, feel free. Just let me know.....

Thanks for the feedback iron. We're going to go with 4 groups of 3 replacing bottom dwellers in the pac10, b12, acc & sec... with 2 OOC games.
I saw that. It looks like that will give you a happy medium between too many human opponents and not enough. Keeping people in the same division and using Piney's idea of moving cpu teams around to get rid of the scrub programs in each conference is pretty smart too.

We advance at 10 PM tonight. I'll switch DC to Florida and give you an assist, if you can't make it online by 9 pm EST.

Everyone is either on bye, or has their game finished except for Piney and WOOD. If you guys can be done by the time I get home from work tonight (~10:30 PM EST), I will advance us to week 5, and the Ohio State vs. Penn State showdown. If not. We are still scheduled to advance Friday night/Saturday morning.
