NCAA09 360 Pac-10 Dynasty

My offense is coming together nicely...

Power back & speed back likely, quality OL, a good haul of speed WRs, and some good ATHs. MLB, CB & safety recruiting remain bleak, with only CB having much hope of changing at all. A good foundation to build on, but not a group that will cure all of our deficiencies.

I see. I have at least definately shored up the offensive line for years to come. I will probably bump on of the tackles to a guard...giving me 2 guards and 2 tackles along with a possible center in this class. I invested in some speed backs, however one has decent size and I have 4 underclassmen as it is at the position so I might switch him to wideout. Corners will be feast or famine. No safeties (my favorite position to recruit). #1 DE in the country. A pretty good class with a focus on the trenches. I need some difference makers now though.

I noticed that on the 2009 RB Discussion thread you mentioned Jahvid Best...did that have anything to do with our game?

I'm ready to advance. Jahvid Best...sigh...suffered a season ending injury in the 63-21 victory over Oregon State. It happened in the first quarter, and possibly will take him out of the Heisman, Maxwell, and Walker hunts. However, I was more than pleased with his two replacements, Montgomery and Vereen. Both of whom combined for over 360 yards rushing. It will be interesting to see how the team performs throughout the remainder of the season.

Oh yeah and I picked up more recruits!

Is that your wide receiver?

Oh I get it...and yes that is cold hearted. Hopefully the voters value a player who had 1200 rushing and 1200 receiving by the 8th game. Remember you have another year at least of an advanced Jahvid Best. I'm telling you right now I will have the best stable of running backs in the country. If I could just get the rest of my skill players to that level then I would be set.

Just figured out that I currently have the number 2 recruiting class in the country...pretty solid. I just want to turn in better results than USC and I should be pretty good. Oregon is sitting pretty good in the standings as well. Jwins is definately going after his strengths in terms of players, I usually just go after the best available.

Oh and I found my Malcom Jenkins this week. 3 star, 50th something rated corner with an A for awareness. Which in the game isn't worth diddly ish.
EDIT: He'll probably get cut...thems the brakes.

You can land some real gems at CB from the 3-star pool. One year I brought in 4 CBs. A 5-star, two 4-stars (both with A+ spd), and a 3-star with excellent coverage & speed. The 3-star was my best corner and blanketed Miami's wideouts.

Just heard back from redbenn, he's pretty busy with a handful of things, so when you're done, we'll advance. We'll definitely wait for him for the offseason (and I'm going to be busy with work/commitments from the 23-28th), but just wanted to give you a heads up that we will still be moving along.
