OFFICIAL RUN UP TO MIDNIGHT MADNESS THREAD
We will be a bear come November
Hold Your Heads High, Tar Heels Fans... :sick1:
i saw the pain in th nova's players eyes. i'm feeling in now.
Congrats UNC from a buckeye  (There were at least 4 of these)
Go to hell. We don't need to be congratulated for losing.
Why we didn't pull away....and why the plan didn't work
"Why we didn't pull away" was because the refs swallowed their whistles and stopped calling fouls on Georgetown.

Learn to live with it - we were never going to be allowed to win this game.
I need URGENT Reverse Jinx Help - Our Fate depends on it
I'm extremely supersitious, and I have a situation thats completely out of my control.

I have a special chair that I sit in for special UNC games. These "special" games are elite 8 and final 4 games. I have a chair that I have used since the 82 season, and when I sit in the chair or have access to it for these special games we've never lost. The times that I haven't sat in the chair we've lost the games...EVERYTIME!! The chair has no power during the regular season nor is it effective in games prior to the elite 8. The power in the chair is only released in elite 8 games and final fours. Case in point:

1. I sat in the chair in 82. We won it all.
2. I actually missed the 85 ame against Nova - we lost.
3. I did not sit in the chair in 1987 - watched the game with relatives. We lost to Syracuse.
4. Watched the elite 8 in 1991 from the chair, but watched the final 4 game at the home of a friend. We lost to Kansas
5. I took watched all games from the chair in 1993 and we won it all.
6. in 1995 I watched the elite 8 against Kentucky from the chair, but went on Spring break during the final 4 and watched in from my hotel room. We lost to arkansas.
7. I watched the elite 8 game from the chair, but watched the Final 4 game against Arizona from work. We lost.
8. I watched the elite 8 game from the chair, but watched the Utah game at my then girlfriends house. We lost to Utah.
9. I watched the elite 8 game against Tulsa from the chair, but watched the final 4 game against Florida from my hotel room, as I was traveling for work. We lost to Florida
10. I watched all games from the chair in 2005, and we won.

This sounds crazy, but I am convinced this chair has real power. Now here is my situation. I am traveling for work in about 2.5 hours, which means I have no choice but to watch this game from my hotel room. On top of that, if the Gods will somehow allow a victory today, I am traveling for the next 15 days which means I will still be without the chair. The situation is so dire, that I have strongly considered skipping the flight and flying out in the morning, however the ticket is non-refundable, and I have a meeting a 7a.m, which means I have to be on this flight - no other options.

What Im asking for are any reverse jinx methods or rituals you might be willing to share. Anything that may be able to overide my inability to sit in the chair. And if that is not plausible, I ask that anyone with rituals or superstitions to use "extra" mojo to replace the mojo I am losing for my inability to sit in my chair. If you have any extra mojo, I beg that you toss any extra you can spare out there in my namesake.

This is the most Devestating loss in UNC History
I'm sitting here in my hotel room numb with disbelief. We held a 10 point lead with 7 minutes to play, in an elite 8 game, and we collapsed. Numb is about the only word I can come up with. The hurt hasn't even hit me yet, because I'm still numb. Under the circumstances, and considered we had all but locked up a final 4 spot, this is the most devestating and shocking loss in my 30 years of watching UNC basketball. We went from having great ball moving to jacking up threes, yet we never called a timeout to settle the guys down. With the stakes that high you have to call a timeout to make sure the ball goes inside. And then we run the game winning play for Wayne? A fadeaway 3? A guy who's been struggling with his shot since January? Wow.

For the most part the fortitude of the UNC fans in the face of this loss is more stiff upper-lipped than I expected. Really, I'm pretty impressed with how well they are putting this into perspective.

Still would rather have had the Buckeyes face UNC than Georgetown. They seem to really believe in themselves right now - and that can go a long way in games.
