NCAA Tournament Round 3: Texas A&M vs. Memphis (+3)

that's about right. 2.0. the ball first bounced inbounds. you have to stop the clock when the (lady) touched it.

Good call, Buckguy. The whole time I was watching the game, I was amazed at how Raftery and the other announcer clearly did not know the rule. It was obvious the way they were talking that they thought the clock should stop whenever the ball passed the imaginary line running upwards from the sideline, which is NOT the rule.

Atta boy Acie! I can't believe what I just saw. I'm happy for the matchup it presents if we can beat UT but I'm kinda pissed becuase I had A&M in my bracket.

Seth Davis is still bitching about the time call!!! moron

It took the 4th CBS person (Greg Gumbel) to mention the ball bouncing in bounds - since Seth Davis was also clueless in the studio.

On the one replay, it looked the the ref stopped the clock on the first bounce, thinking it was on the line; but they corrected that looking at the replays, which was part of why it took them so long.

The announcers were also terrible at the end of the Kansas game, as I mentinoed in the other thread.

Amazing how daft that trio was... why would people jump into the crowd if this were the case? I've come to expect Raftery to belabor a wildly incorrect argument, but you'd think someone else would remember such a basic rule.

Good thing Gus Johnson was replaced by James Brown this weekend :smash:

Mr. Clutches don't miss point blank lay ups with 1 minute left. Good riddance, Mr. Overrated.
yeah, michael jordan never missed a last-second shot. law is so overrated because he missed one shot. all of those previous clutch shots are now meaningless. watch his draft status drop like a brick. it sucks to be acie!
