NCAA Tournament Round 2: Winthrop vs. Oregon (-3.5)

well i originally had notre dame vs oregon in this matchup but heres hoping to oregon winning this game. bradshaw vs ND was a monster so if oregon can contain him somewhat and play better than they did against miami then i like their chances.

no I didn't but cmon winthrop and 3.5??

has the possibility to be a close game although it is kinda nuts considering if the game is close in the end somebody will foul and get you over that spread so i see your point. but oregon beat miami(OH) by 2 in the first round

Question; Just how far can Winthrop go if the have the talent and depth? I don't see them going anywhere. Yes they had a great game against ND. But can they do it again and , again? I don't see it.
They are going to get worn down if they aren't already. That ND game had to take a lot out of them so I think they are done.

i dont think they will get wore down but i just think they will get bested by a major team that finished the season strong. with that being said i think winthrop could hold their own quite well if they were in any major conferences.

I'm debating taking Winthrop in this one. I've watched them alot, know the Coach and the school. Bradshaw is their only depth issue, other than that they are pretty deep and very athletic. They can play at a high speed all day long.

I'm actually a little surprised to see Oregon favored. A lot of people are jumping on the Winthrop bandwagon and after Oregon laid that turd yesterday I thought they just might make Winthrop the favorite.

Maarty Leunen needs to step up and play hard defense. He got worked by Pollitz yesterday and he's 3 inches shorter than Leunen.
