Giving them an auto bid is charity. They have zero chance to win.

I don't care if they're a completely different species. The 7-8th in the SEC has the same zero chance to win, that's how they ended up 7th or 8th in the SEC in the first place. At least reward teams that win over 6-6 teams in a "good conference".

This sport is cooked. Nobody is going to watch 8-3 WVU vs 8-3 Pitt competing for a CFP Participation Trophy.

And now nobody is going to watch the blue bloods other than their own fans, because they're guaranteed to get into the CFP no matter what.

Like UGA/Bama last week for example. Completely and utterly worthless game now. I watch games like those every Saturday and have my entire life, that's done now. Over.

The TV execs played themselves. They just fucked the sport.

Poorly worded, it’s 4 auto-bids for the P4 Champs and 1 auto-bid for the highest rated of the other 6 conference champs, like it is now.
