It's time to bring it!
Named rosters for the 360 are now available:
Faridale Kings rosters are the ones that I most like to recommend (due to behind the scenes shenanigans, that are neither cheeky nor fun, amongst the various roster makers). His can be downloaded at the following places:
Madden Planet Link: Fairdale King's NCAA '08 X-Box 360 Rosters
OS Forums Link: http://www.operationsports.com/Roste...ters071907.zip
Then there are also rosters by DT:
OS Forums Link: http://hosted.filefront.com/psxsports
I included the forum links so that people can access them to read how to transfer the roster files to their 360s. Transferring the downloaded files to your 360 will require the XSATA, Xport, or Datel devices, and possibly a memory card depending on which device you use. I'll try to include some directions a little bit later.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO EDIT SOMETHING SMALL IN THE ROSTER FILE (SUCH AS HOMETOWN) AND SAVE THE FILE AS A NEW NAME. THEN YOU SHOULD GO BACK AND DELETE THE ORIGINAL FILE FROM YOUR 360. This is due to MS's want to block game consoles that share save files.
These roster files are supposed to only include the default rosters and not created players. Named default rosters show up during online play this year, so if you have everyone named, you will see them as such during online play. If your online opponent does not have a named roster file on their system, they will not see names. Also, in the past, any roster files that contained created players or players whose ratings had been edited did not work online. So, I recommend that you save the roster files on your system under the name "default." Then, I'd save another version under a name like "dynasty" to use for your non-online gaming, such as dynasty play. That way you can edit the dynasty roster as much as you want and can still have the default roster available for online play.
Edit: VERY IMPORTANT: Do not upload any roster (or other game saves) saves to sites like 360gamesaves.com. MS is downloading files from those sites, detecting the system addresses from the games saves, and then banning those systems from XBL based on their system addresses.
Edit2:
Here's a "how to" guide for transferring the files to your 360 using the Transfer kit.
