NCAA Football (PS3) Promotion/Relegation Online Dynasty

Won a tough one. Thought I had a comfortable lead then I gave up a hail mary before halftime and then had some trouble getting a few stops. Was down 34-33 and mounted a drive to get in the end zone and had a huge defensive stand when they drove inside the 20.

  • I am not going to limit what you can do with your rosters...yet. EA has given us a very limited depth chart, with minimums for each position that must be filled, regardless of whether your system uses that position or not.
    • Be reasonable. If you run a traditional offense, then go with traditional players at their traditional positions. If you run a pass happy, 4 or 5-wide offense, then you can utilize the TE position to add depth to your WR corps. I run flexbone, and my main ball carrier is called a fullback by EA. A flexbone B-back is not a conventional fullback. I will move EA's definition of half-backs to the fullback position in an attempt to have my best runner at the position that runs the most. However, I'm not going to move a 96 speed HB with no STR, BTK, or TRK skills to B-back. Those players are best suited for the A-back/slotback position.
    • If you're wondering if a position change or depth chart setup is reasonable, then ask me. There's a pretty good chance that I'll have no problem with it.

This week, the Pitbulls will host FIU (2-2).

Last week, San Jose State won 38-35 against Colorado State (4-1).
This week, the Spartans will host Idaho (1-2).

Rivalry week for me, and I only have a few recruits that were ready for visits. I did get another insta commit from a 3* safety this week, but that only puts my recruiting class total at two 3* safeties and no one else. I have a big lead on a lot of other 3*s right now, and I have the lead in pretty heated battles with darby for two 2* players that I think are going to be pretty good.

This is really tough, a lot tougher than I thought it'd be with the 1 and 2 star type recruits... gonna be a while before i can start going after the big boys

Yeah, lucky you with the latest rivalry game, I think everyone else had their rival game 2-3 weeks ago and not a soul ready to visit I bet. :wink2: (I am just busting your chops)

Will be interesting how bad some of the visit grades will be. Haven't been a really bad team in a dynasty in like forever. I just hope to get some 'B' visits.

A B visit would be a god send for me. I'm D+ rating in like 6 categories
