Actually cuts were easy for me this year, Only got a few good recruits and mostly I just recruited highly rated busts so they can help me in the recruiting rankings and to be cannon fodder for my cuts.

Now this coming season should be interesting... I have only 6 seniors... scary eh? But, I should expect junior departures this year as I have 3-4 juniors ranked in the lower 90s and another slew of junior starters rated in the upper 80s that produce monster numbers for me.

So I have to recruit like they will be leaving... but if they don't leave... dang cuts are going to be hard.

But it should be a fun season with us finally playing each other in the regular season. Thankfully I don't have to visit fanatic and his blue turf. Sucks to be you Iron... :tongue2:

You should see my recruiting notes. I typed up some notes so I wouldn't forget what my focus was going to be as the season went on. When I went back and looked at my notes, pretty much every position could've just said "only stud recruits get offers". :lol: Going forward, I may only recruit enough guys to keep depth at each position, and to maintain my pipelines.

That would be swell, but I plan on wearing my green jersey's against Olaf. I didn't actually do it intentionally, but my home jerseys on a green field have a similar effect as Boise's blue jerseys on their field.

We should compare excel spreadsheets one day to see who is crazier :biggrin:

Regarding pipelines... they are becoming less important. Now that we all have A ratings in almost every category and we probably all have safe pipelines in the major states, but the 'minor' pipelines don't mean as much. Plus unless they change teambuilder next season, it won't really transfer over to NCAA14. So who cares if you lose that Arizona pipeline or Alabama or Georgia... Since we are all high prestige teams now the recruits come calling us :biggrin:

Speaking of... I see we all found the uber stud in this class... Should be a fun recruiting battle for him unless of course he instant-commits to his #1 school.

I think you would be unimpressed. I'm pretty much winging it. Which is why I decided to type up some notes, because I tend to get off course throughout the season, especially if I can only advance twice a week...too much time between advances for me to remember what my plan was in the prior week.

Pretty ridiculous game last night. Boise just blitzed the fuck out of me the whole game. I have a 99 OVR QB with something like 94 THP and 98 THA. I don't know what the plan was with the blitzing, but I carved up their defense, and I didn't need exploits to do it. It was just incredibly easy to pick apart their over aggressive defense. The only problem I had was the one pick where last season's QB would've needed to bullet pass to make the throw, but this season's QB doesn't, and I just threw the ball too flat, when I could've put a little air under it for a big gain.

On the defensive side of the ball, I was going up against a 77 OVR SR(RS) QB. He was awful. I had three pick sixes with linebackers and had 6 or 7 picks overall. I don't run that nano-blitz bullshit, so I "only" had 8 or 9 sacks by rushing only 4 or 5 on most plays. I just hope that my redshirt sophomore middle linebacker doesn't have very many two pick six games this season, otherwise I'll never be able to keep him around.

What's really messed up is that I won 83-7 and didn't really feel like I played a great game. I can't wait for the user games, so I can get an actual gauge of how good or not good that this team really is.

Yeah, some of these games aren't even challenging anymore. So it should be fun with the human games and then next season being in the same conference.

Half the time I just sim when I am on defense and maybe if they are moving the ball play 3rd down defense. On offense it is just sick with Rogers as my QB, with 92 spd, 6'5 240+lbs and basically is a more accurate version of Tim Tebow in college... against Texas he trucked a couple of guys on 2 HUGE runs of 70+ yards and I was playing my backups and had clock chew on the whole 2nd half.

Heck, wasn't fair in the other dynasty playing UTSA... I had over 70 points by halftime.

Yep. 5th year guy that I recruited in NCAA 12. Thomas was my 93 OVR starting QB last season, but he was only an ok passer. Most of his rating was due to his running. Gibson was also a 93 OVR, but I started Thomas so Gibson wouldn't leave early. He increased his rating by six points during training, and now I have a 99 OVR SR(RS) QB with 94 THP and 98 THA. He's also a pretty good runner, but I usually let Green (my 90+ OVR JR QB) do most of the running. I've never had a QB that could throw this well before, so it's going to take a little getting used to. And, of course, by the time I get used to it he'll be gone.
