I'll revisit this again at the end of the year, but I'm seriously considering raising the difficulty of recruiting. I only have 6 scholarships left and it seems like I have over a dozen "gems" signed. I'm not really complaining. This class will is going to be huge for me, but it does seem a little too easy.

I was just thinking after the last advance how bad my recruiting has been this year. To begin the year I think I was top 5 on 7-8 four and five star recruits, so I wasted my time tryin to recruit them. I was spending 60 minutes on them and couldn't break 225 points. Then there is a 5* HB that I led since the 2nd week by a bunch and Clemson started coming on 4 weeks ago and now has a soft commit from. I also am maxed out on a 5* WR for three weeks now with no soft commit and Miss St is charging with a visit in Wk 14.
My big mistake was not focusing on 3* gems. I may get lucky and sign 15 guys this off season. But I think it's more of a strategy problem (no chance if competing with big schools) not difficulty.

I say wait another year... why?

Where the eff are the gems? I have yet to see one. The biggest jump I have seen is a +4. Mostly I am finding busts, especially the 4* that I have been able to grab. But going from 79 to 71 is still a good recruit for me. Every 3* recruit either will go up 2 pts or down 3-4 pts.

Heck, in the other dynasty the only gems I have found were two freaking punters.

Really does anyone know what the difference in the next level of recruiting? Is it the same as the other dynasty? I know in last year's version they just limited your changing the topic from 3 to 2, is there a difference like that in this year's version? Like less promises? Visits getting lower grades? Less points per call?

Interesting that the two stud Athletes that I am recruiting for QB registered as a WR & FS! I mean I scouted them both with 89 speed the WR has THP 91 THA 77 and the FS has THP 81 THA 84. If those aren't QBs I would love for a spread option attack I don't know who else to use

Heck, I was figuring the 5* guy could have been a CB. Dang... decisions decisions... a 77-80 OVR rated WR, CB or QB... I love having hard choices like this

Screw all of you. I just lost a 5* ATH that was going to be my QB and am still stinging over the pending loss of the 5* HB. At this point I'm scrambling for 2* gems and not finding any luck and hoping i hold in to the ine 5* WR ive had maxed for weeks. My HB situation next year will be okay, but my QB will be sub 70 starter. I have two 3* gems that I recruited this year, but they're both 68.

I really want to know how the rankings formula works? How does a 2 loss Oklahoma team remain #4 and then drop below me, while I get jumped by IBI after he has a bye week. I don't mind being ranked behind IBI, just curious what causes these major reworks of the rankings after certain weeks.

Now you know how I feel when I lose to you twice a season

Now who is this 5* WR I will need to target to see if I can pass you

I'm not sure how the calculations work. I assume it has to do with teams that you played losing, and teams that I played winning, but I haven't really looked into it that much. I eliminated all conference affiliation with the BCS bowls, so I assume that a top 8 or 10 ranking will get just about anyone into a BCS game.

Regardless of how everything is calculated I would like to point out that putting Boise State in a conference of similarly rated teams has resulted in them being 0-10 this season. :banger:

There seems to be two week throughout the year were there are major resets in the rankings. Undefeated teams jump big time at certain points. It could be opponents winning/losing; most of my opponents including Florida, are sucking it up.

I came in late on a 5* WR that Piney's after, but he's a colossal bust. Hell, the frosh WR I recruited at the end of the 2012 season were better and they were 3* guys.
You're doing the same with a 5* guy that I'm recruiting. He's a -6, but that's still a 76 OVR.

Ummmm, I don't remember recruiting any 5* WRs in this dynasty. Heck I just started recruiting my first WR target and he is a 4* just because I am happy with my class and I only have a few real targets left.

Or you mixing up the dynasties again Olaf?
