I won yet another game that I deserved to lose. Down 28-10 with 3 minutes to go in the third and the Marshall QB that's was scrambling all game on me and completing every pass goes full-retard and all of a sudden won't scramble and only throws to blanketed receivers, despite having wide open receivers elsewhere.

I was checking to see if there may be any late schollies I can offer to uncommitted players when I saw that fanatic's about to get himself a 5* runningback.
You got me all excited that I jumped Miami...

Unfortunately I have trailed by 1 point for four straight weeks and now he's a Soft verbal to Miami despite no offer and no visit to them.

That's what happened to me with the 4* FS that committed to Ohio State last week. Trailed by 1 for four or more weeks. Never took the lead, and finally lost out when they pulled the trigger on the offer.

I started out pretty well with this class, but have hit a rut recently. I don't lead for any of the players on my board right now. I only have 9 seniors, and I've already signed 9 players, so I'm just trying to go big. I'm not going to be able to fit 70 players on a TB team anyway, so I'm just hoping to improve the quality of my team, without worrying about numbers.

I only get 2-250 points per week with him, so I knew it was going to be difficult to keep up. Miami must only be spending 30 minutes a week on him. On the flip side, I have 8 3* on board and lead for another 6 or 7. I am getting solid role players in this league. Just don't have a gamebreaker yet. Hoping this HB would have been the one.

From the latest NCAA13 update, posted by Olaf.
Conference Prestige
Previously Conference Prestige was static and never changed, regardless of how the teams in the conference perform. Now each week, the conference?s prestige will be evaluated based upon the BCS ranking of the top six schools in the conference. You are now partially reliant upon the success of the other teams in the conference, so you may find yourself cheering for your rivals.
If you are fond of creating your own custom conferences using the Custom Conferences feature the conference prestige will now dynamically update after you have made your changes in Custom Conferences.
This makes setting up the conferences so much easier...or harder. I don't know. Anyway, I'm hoping that it will let me setup the dynasty so the conference names will make sense. The B1G will probably be the top conference now, and I'll be able to set up most of the others so they make sense geographically. All without worrying about sticking to EAs definition of the different levels of conference prestige.
I have updated the Spreadsheet to the NCAA 12 Conference Hierarchy with the projected conference layout for 2013. Just go to the "Season 3 Conferences (NCAA13)" tab. Since the conference prestige is determined by the rank of the teams located in that conference, I made the Big Ten the premier league instead of the SEC. With 123 teams (3 more than NCAA12) I am getting rid of "Independent" as a conference by making one team an independent, because "Independent" has a minimum of one team. There will be 6 tiers. There will be 10 teams in the Big TEN, 12 teams per conference in tiers 2 thru 5, and 8 teams in the 6th tier conferences. The reason I went with 12 teams in each conference for tiers 2 thru 5 is because I want to use conference championship games to determine promotion, instead of the fucked up bowl system I created. I might do "tier matchups" in the bowl games, but that will just be for bragging rights. Otherwise, the bowls will be meaningless exhibitions.

I won't know which teams go where until I know the ratings, rankings, and prestige levels of all 123 teams. The users that win promotion this season will start out NCAA13 in tier 5. Users that do not win promotion will stay in tier 6.

Just waiting for Piney.

I would love to get the rest of the games in before I leave for vacation Saturday. Once I advance, we'll have the MAC Championship game between fanatic and Olaf. Hopefully Olaf, Illinois, or Oregon State can keep Piney out of the NCG, and Piney and I will get our promotion matchup in the Fiesta Bowl. I saw what happened to Piney last season, and I don't want to have to play a BCS caliber team in order to get promoted to a 5th tier conference.

And like I want to face a national title type team???

I'll get my game in tomorrow night, just couldn't get to it tonight.

Yeah, but just making the NCG guarantees promotion. Also, I would much rather take my chances with Oregon State or Illinois (both are 4th tier schools), over any SEC or Big Ten runner-up.
