Temporary work around. Delete all game files and profile. I played
My OD game just fine. I've yet to see if I'm still [censored]ed for ranked
Quick matches. Of course, they're goes 2 hours spent on a defensive
Playbook. [censored]ers.

If I remember correctly this has happened before a few years back

Playing in an offline dynasty, and Stanford just pulled a Les Miles

I was up 7-6 (i know, high scoring) Stanford driving, they converted a 3rd down with :35 left and no timeouts, get it down to the 15...I call a timeout to save time, they set the clock to conservative (so play clock drains) the run the ball up the middle for no gain, I don't call a timeout cause I was gonna ice the kicker..the AI doesnt change the conservative and the clock runs out before they can run another play :slappy:

Anyone else have problems with this game? I was playing it last night, I was in the second half, then the system kinda went "bzzzzt" and froze. When I rebooted it, it won't recognize any discs. Now my system is fucked. I am going to try and restore the hardware, but I am guessing I am person # 18,385,343,454 with a faulty laser that's going to have to be replaced. Only had it for 8 months :pissed:

If your PS3 is 8 months old, it should still be covered. Still sucks, I know.

Will it read anything at all? DVD/Blu-Ray etc?

No, it completely crapped out on the disc read...the hard drive part works fine. I tried a system restore, it didn't work, I'm going to have to send it back. Right during FB season. $^^@#^*@#

Stop downloading porn on the PS3...

Sounds like an issue I had a couple years ago. Luckily my wife knew a tech guy at her work that found out it was some virus or some other corrupt file. He cleaned it up and everything was back working.

Unfortunately no idea how he found it or fixed it. Maybe google can help you on this.

Yeah, I did all the soft stuff they suggest on Google searches of tech forums, I think this is a hardware issue since it won't accept any discs anymore. I have a service request number, it is under warranty still (that God) so hopefully they can fix it. I get the feeling these systems are such that they reflect what Michael Moore always accuses GM of...make something that lasts just long enough for coverage to run out so that people then need to buy a new one. Rinse, lather, repeat. Thanks for the info guys, I'll see what happens and hopefully I'll be back up and running in a couple of weeks. Sucks though, I was finally having great games with winslow's sliders.

I will say this, I never had a gaming system until my wife bought me one for Christmas, so I went years and years without one. Now I'm like "WTF am I going to do with myself for 2 weeks??!?!!?!!1!!?! No NCAA, No The Show 12, no Netflix, no nothing!"

Ok, that sucks. My case was I have an old PS3 that was 3-4 yrs old and moving into my new house I plugged everything in and it would no longer read my disks. Everything else worked except it wouldn't read any disk I would put in. I read about laser problems and just assumed it was damaged in the move.

Since we just bought a new house the wife wouldn't let me buy a new PS3 / she wanted to give me a new one for Xmas. But instead she had this guy that liked tinkering with these things from her work and I said sure, let him try. A month later she brought home my PS3 working again. No new parts, just ran some software fixes.

Yeah, I was lucky the months without my PS3 I moved into a newly constructed house and was busy enough doing things around the house. Also that year's version of NCAA sucked donkey balls. But it was painful not having it, but I am also sure my wife loved it and probably regrets having the guy fix the PS3
