NCAA Football 12 (PS3) Online Dynasty (Discussion)

I'm not a fan of re-aligning the conferences.

I like Option #2 the best.

I propose this wrinkle: Nobody's allowed to take the Ohio State job. Let's face it - we'd all want it and we'd all probably employ a scorched earth style of play until one of us got it.

My only concern would be that you may only get a few good offers. If you have to turn down the tOSU job, will that adversely affect, say, Texas offering a position?

I'm ok with the idea of everyone starting out as a HC at a low prestige and trying to work up/get better job offers as long as it doesn't take 10 seasons of undefeated football to accomplish that.

I'm going to go with option 2. You'll be able to choose lower rated teams outside the BCS conferences and have the ability to accept job offers. I'm also going to move TCU to the Big East after the first season is over. I'll make a new thread for signups that'll have the rules and everything. For those who've participated in previous ODs, there won't be any surprises. My biggest worry comes with created playbooks. I don't care what people do against the computer, but against users, a playbook full of cheese can be a serious problem. There have already been a couple exploits found and supposedly corrected with the first patch, but we'll see.

I'm heading out of town to the in-laws Tuesday for the week. I'll have the game, but probably won't be able to get online. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't. The rosters should be out by the time I get back. I'll make some roster edits, but nothing stupid. I won't change anyone's default rating [strike]except my team which will be rated 99 across the board[/strike]. I'll add Graham and Moeller to OSU's roster and use there 11 ratings with a small bump to awareness. I plan to start the OD by Monday the 18th.

why not? cheesing against the computer racks up stats which influences recruiting. why can't people just play real football?

I request in the new thread for signups and rules is to list all of the teams eligible to be drafted. Haven't been able to look at the list (no access here at work and no time to do it at home)

I really hope to get the game this week... have to start working on my plans to rule the dynasty, and if nothing else to at least be able to beat Fanatic...

Also... we'll be able to accept better jobs? Would this, could this affect the balance of human teams in the conferences? Or will you have some sort of procedure on how to fix that. My assumption would be if you get offered the head coach at Ohio St, you would then move my new team to the conference I am already in?

If, for some reason, three people accept Big Ten jobs, then I'll have to find a way to balance them out. I can rearrange the conferences in-season, so hopefully someone wouldn't mind being swapped with that team to another conference. Also, if something happens where two people accept jobs with SEC East teams, I'll move one of those teams to the West.
