NCAA Football 11 (PS3) Bad Teams Online Dynasty

I've only made one slider change. I changed the speed threshold from 65 to the default of 50.

what does this mean? we're faster/we're slower/they're faster/they're slower?
The lower the number, the greater the discrepancy in speed. If you have fast players, they're less likely to get caught in the backfield. If the cpu has fast players, you're less likely to catch them.

50 is the setting that the Piney Dynasty is currently using. I think that "true speed" is supposed to be somewhere in the 20's, but I don't want this to be like '09, where speed is everything.

Since our next step is to enter the preseason, I am not going to advance again until I know whether the patch we just got was worth a [censored], or whether the wrong one was released. I do not want to continue to preseason until I know that the recruit ratings have been fixed, and the preseason is when recruits are created...

Still no 360 patch. Interesting take from a ps3 user on Operation Sports

Patch 3 and Tuner 3 did nothing. Im wondering if they messed up and released the wrong patch for PS3, and this may be why xbox does have theirs.

Everything that was listed in that post about the tuner, is not in the package. After 5 simmed seasons, im seeing nothing different at all, things might actually be worse.
-No ins-season recruting
-Awareness progression is the same or worse
-Teams are still getting worse overall over time
-RBs still have bad acc and agility
-1 and 2* recruits are higher in general. Problem is that a lot of them are higher than the #8 recruits that some teams have.

This is an all out disaster, im serious. Something isnt right.

I'm going to go ahead and advance when I get home tonight. I'll try to save and rename the OD file just in case we have to restart season 2 because of screwed up recruits.

I have alot of company coming into town and staying at my house for the Miami game this weekend, so I don't know how much time I'll have to devote to scheduling. I will try to get schedules up this weekend, but we will likely not advance to week 1 until Tuesday night

Aren't video games supposed to be fun? If so, why am I so depressed after setting up my depth chart? Maybe it's my offensive line that has three out of five starters rated in the sixties. The other two guys? 70 on the nose for both, baby!

I'm gonna get crushed...

Hey, I don't want to hear crying about the OL. I'm starting 4 seniors on the OL that average in the 60s (two are in the low 70s), the 5th is a true frosh that is a 64 (my star recruit). I have no depth behind them so while I'll be riding high with my senior laden, but untalented line, when I suffer an inevitable injury I'll be playing a lineman in the low 50s. This talented bunch is blocking for my one good player, a RB.

Basically here's my offense, I have a great RB, horrible line with no depth, a bad QB, but capable receivers. TEs suck, FBs really suck (actually I'm starting a LB at FB and a DT is my backup FB if that tells you anything...)

I'm going to switch to a shotgun spread offense as I'll need to buy my QB as much time as possible. I'll need to find a way to get my 88 rated RB out into space and probably place him at WR in many formations.

Oh and next season.... I don't want to even think about it as I set my recruiting board and I have little good interest on the OL. They may all be rated in the mid/low 60s next year...at best.

Maybe I should hold an open tryout at my school after the season starts? Michigan is doing that today and I bet it pays off. :slappy:

I don't have time to do any more schedules right now, but 1st draft schedules for Piney, THEWOOD, DA-Bucks, and buckeyemania11 have been posted.

All teams will have 6 home and 6 away games. Teams not in a BCS conference will have one road game against a highly ranked team.

Everyone's schedules are posted. If I don't hear back from you by Sunday night, I will assume you are ok with your schedule, and I will advance to week 1.

Olaf, there wasn't anything that I could do to ease your SOS short of scheduling an FCS game. You really got screwed with three SEC road games against top teams.

Comparative SOS from last season to this season:

Piney, C+ to C+
DA-Bucks, C- to C+
THEWOOD, B+ to B+
buckeymania11, B+ to B+
BuckeyeNation27, C to C
IronBuckI, A+ to C
Basebuck, C- to C-
fanaticbuckeye, B to A-
WhoBeBubba3, B to B
Smooth Olaf, B+ to A
BlufftonBuckeye, B to B
tonyank, B to B+
