NCAA Football 08 Wishlist

They remained pretty similar from 2002-2004/5 then they got feature-crazy (impact stick, truck stick, whatever stick). I think the controls are completely customizable for the 360 version of 2007 but I still just play my Xbox version because the animations are too goofy for 360. If they could just take the Xbox version, make the game itself a little prettier (all of the spiffed up menus on the 360 version just piss me off) and leave everything else alone, I would be more than happy. :(

My sentiments exactly. The only QB to lead his team to an undefeated season this past year. I'm just glad it wasn't Mr. Quinn. :p

I'm greedy. I want Troy to have both.

Are they going to have a chokes in big games feature, with Zabransky on the cover?

If EA doesn't like Troy or Brady, then why not put a different position player on the cover. AP? Calvin Johnson?

I do, too. But, oh well. Since I don't know much outside of Ohio State (and, some would argue that I don't know much INSIDE Ohio State), I'm only going to assume that this Zabransky dude played for Boise State. What else could they have possibly done to get some respect? They did everything possible. I say that if it's not Troy, let someone on Boise State have some respect.

Good call. Or a defensive player. I don't think there's been a defensive player on the cover since Woodson was on the '98 cover. Or was it '97?

That's easy. It's got 25 spots for you to enter 25 teams. Just enter the teams where you think they should go. Personally, I would probably do the voting a couple of times, and then get bored with it. I'm not going to pay attention to how good the other 118 teams are.

You ought to be able to insert a Div-IAA team without getting rid of a Div-IA team. And, like someone else said, you ought to be able to play a season at the Div-IAA level. To take it further, I think you ought to be able to start out at Div-IAA, and promote yourself to Div-IA, some time later.

Couple more things:

Have the option to turn off replay challenges. Just get the call right. If I want realism, I'll turn the replay challenges on. If I want things right, I'll turn them off. Also, sometimes the ball is ON the goal line, and they don't say touchdown. The nose of the ball is not the location of the ball - the middle of the ball is. Fix that.

Possibly the thing that pisses me off most about the 2007 game is that facemasking is only a penalty if the ballcarrier doesn't fumble the ball. If he fumbles it, apparently, you're allowed to yank his helmet off his head and beat him to death.

Fair catches: If the ball is going to land inside the 5 yard line, and I don't want to field it, I'll call a fair catch and have the returner run away. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to run away, and someone else tries to be a hero. So I lose the ball inside the 5. Stupid. Get away from the ball!

There should be a punt return formation with 2 returners. And not just the "safe return" play, where the defense stays out there.

Have betterer reverse plays for kicks. Has anyone EVER been faked by one of those reverses?

Sometimes, when you press R2 (for PS2 - I don't know what button it is for xbox) to show you your play on defense, it'll show that your strong safety is supposed to play a zone WAY off from what he's really supposed to do. What's up with that. From what I've seen, though, he actually plays the right defense.

Either I really suck at kick-offs (very possible) or kickers are weak. Get a guy with 99 kick power, and I need the wind to help me kick out of the endzone. Someone with 99 kick power should kick out of the endzone pretty much every time, unless the wind is keeping the ball in.
