The thing where DB's taking off when the WR curls is the ai that is attempting to mimic how curls work in real life with the WR trying to run the DB off and force him to turn his hips before the WR makes his cut. In Madden, it was REALLY bad this year, but they toned it down with an update so now you really have to watch to see the DB turn before you throw that ball. It is similar in the NCAA game.

Fired up my PS3 for the first time in nearly a month.

Went 3-0 today online.

First was a game against a guy playing as teh Gators. Straight bitch play.

He offered mercy I was up 20-0 heading into the 4th.

Second game was against Alabama. Won 17-10. Was up 17-3 with 2minutes to go. The guy even used Air Force's playbook.

Third was against Okie State. I played as OU. Shootout: 35-26 W.

Not a bad day.

NCAA10 was the first of EA's sports games I've purchased for next gen.

Would anyone have any insight/speculation as to what EA would do in terms of conference re-alignment in the 2011 or 2012 game? None, is what I would assume. At this point I'm thinking in terms of best purchase and I'm sort of feeling that it would be best to not buy a new NCAA game until 2013 when most of the realignment is set and most of the kinks of the newer gameplay are worked out.

First of all, I assume you are asking about 2012 and 2013, since 2011 came out in july.

I have not read anything official, but seeing as we can already put Nebraska in the big ten via custom conferences, I would be shocked if thet weren't in the new game as a big ten team.

No, I was talking about NCAA11 and NCAA12. NCAA13 would theoretically be the first NCAA game post (current) re-alignment.

I'm unfamiliar with what EA's precedent has been on patches and if things like conference championship games (BigTen & Pac-10 having one and BigXII not having one) can and will be patched in on the current installment. My assumption was that they wouldn't, seeing as they want you to buy the new game when it comes out.

The second part of my question was about re-alignment down the road for teams that we know will be moving around in a couple of years but wont technically be part of their new conferences until 2012, or if something else happens with the sport not requiring an entire re-programming of the game, would anyone have reason to believe that EA would release patches that move around teams for you in the upcoming installments rather than you having to do it yourself? Not that it would be a big deal moving it myself, but the principle of the issue that EA would update to change the game as the sport changes. Is that something they could/would do or is that entirely out of the question?

My point was you aren't being specific about what game you are talking about. Ncaa 2010 came out in 2009, then you started talking about the 2011/12 games, one of which is out already with no suspense about its featurwa.

Nebraska is playing big ten games next fall. Others are switching a year or more
Afterwards.

nebraska will undoubtedly be in the big ten with a ccg in indy, surely ported from their colts model in madden.

Other future expansions will surface when they happen. The pac ten expansion will happen in 2012 in the ncaa 2013 game released july '12. you can add them to the league now, but ccg patches will not be made for an old game. they usually release the last patch in late fall, about 3-4 months after release.

If you want all expansion gamea, you should wait until after they all are set to debut thar fall. Of course, you run the risk of waiting only for the power conference shift to be announced. I would just get it next year. Do you really need a pac ten ccg? The gameplay improvements this year were better than all of the next gen upgrades combined.

I'm pretty sure the conference alignments will be updated in 2012's game that will come out this year. And this is why...if I remember correctly, it was announced that Nebraska would be joining the B10 pretty soon after the game was released. There were questions for the NCAA revs on operation sports whether that will take place or not, however they could not because Nebraska was still in the big 12 this year. Now Nebraska will be joining for the 2011 season and most likely will be updated in the game for 2012, most likely because of contracts, licensing, and legal issues that they would have to have each team correctly in that conference for that year.

NCAA 11 could not place Nebraska in there because of this, the game had already came out, and there was no patch they could complete to fix this (my guess again bc of contracts with their current conference, etc)

That's my .02cents and my reasoning

Right but Utah will not be in the pac-10 until 2012, so like Nebraska this year, they will leave them in their podunk conference until the year it happens in real life.

Correct, and for all the other conference moves as well will take place in the years game that team plays it's first game in the new conference
