Alot more running between the tackles in this version - so if your only comfortable running outside you better have some damn good blocks or learn to play inside as well.

The "superhuman" LB isn't quite what it was, but its not great either. Blitzing LB's get their hands up too much and swat down balls when I'm passing over the middle. Bama' LB Corps is insane, called TE post, both ILB and the ROLB come in, TE is free over the middle so I go for "X" - boom, picked by the backer. Not liking that so far.

Bucks Dline is probably the best in the game. You can't single block Heyward, Larimore is a beast as well as Williams. I'm 3-1 online so far with one victory coming against a guy playing as LSU. Had 5 sacks that game. DT's get the pressure I was looking for and don't get knocked down like they use too.

Still needs some work but a very positive step forward.

Computers are a lot more disciplined than humans, especially in this version. Has anyone had good success on All-american rushing with a mediocre team?

Yeah, ran with BGSU against Toledo and Miami (Fla) with surprising success both times. Had 2 RB with 75 and 60 yards both games (145 total inc QB). Mis-direction plays worked best, but absolutely stay between the tackles if you have a so-so team, getting to the outside just plain won't happen.

Only had one instance of "Super Linebacker"...3rd and 4, blitzing linebacker lept up and swatted a pass to the outside. Fuckers feet were level with my linemans head.

Maybe I'm playing MSU + Greg Jones too much (I was using him as a good baseline to compare the other squads). I'll try those two hypotheticals. I also played 95% heisman games.

I just played as Western Kentucky (tied with EMU for worst team in the game) and I was able to run on Alabama @ Alabama. They beat me 28-17 but they ran for 290 yards on my defense. My starting RB ran for 93 yards on 12 carries, and my QB ran for 56 yards on 8 carries out of the flexbone. My slower backup RB and my extremely slow FB had no luck at all, for a combined 9 yards on 8 carries.

First five rushes, one DL instantly beat his OL and met me in the hole. Fortunately, one of those meetings was executed poorly, he let me run right past him for 10 yds. The other four were stuffed at the line.

The next 3 carries were better, followed by 3 like the above.

#92 DT Holmes is unblocked after 1 second on at least 50% of these rushing plays. He stands up, flies at the linemen and swims past him in one motion... all before my ballcarrier gets the rock.

D lines up outside to stop the spread (safeties past the slots), I rush inside, double team their one DT, and he breaks through both at the same time as the handoff

1 rush for 25 yds (when the DE missed me in the hole). 10 others for 2.3

It seems a lot better on AA (on heisman a 2 yd carry was good, 5+ was great), but the DTs are winning battles way too quickly.
