I would like to see them running through the band in the Block O as well, but I bet it's just going to be them running out of the stadium...

It's def something that looks cool, but after the 3rd game I play, I'll be skipping it

As long as they run out of the correct tunnel (and the preview vid was just a middle tunnel for the sake of convenience), that's fine with me.

Yup, as long as they have the team running out of the correct tunnel, I'm happy. With the band, even better, but they better not be running out of the middle of the stadium like the preview video.

I think EA ruins this franchise year after year. They could put so much more into it if there was more time in between each game.

I used to work for EA and I worked on this game, and at the time there were a few programmers who wanted to release roster updates each year rather than an entirely "new" game. That way they can put more time into a new game. However, this idea does not fit into their money making schedule. It's unfortunate. Even more unfortunate because there is no competition, which would make EA work just a little bit harder.

Fuck this game - and Madden 11. I'm done.

Run Commit is such total bullshit. If I'm lining up in the I with two TE sets and you have a 5 man front consisting of 3 DL 1B and a Safety I should be getting 6 yards easy. But no, why? The Oline doesn't move to the 2nd level and make blocks, the A.I. is too retarded to defend stunts and apparently TE's cant block blitzing DB's.

You can't play man defense unless you have an instant sack. QB's roll out of the pocket, stretch the play - DE's are not faster than QB's it appears so all they have to do is wait for the post deep down field or their 1st reciever to make a comeback.

Zone. Awesome, all your opponent has to do is call a screen. If your playing the HB side DE then you can stop the screen, but good luck with the two go routes on that side of the field. To top it off all he has to do is run his happy ass outside for a 5-10 yard gain because defenders always arrive late.

Madden. I call out every blitz to perfection. I set my back to block right and a hot route to the reciever on the blitzing side. Only problem is my back is a moron and and doesn't sit next to me. He moves forward and the wide side CB comes in for the pressure.

Nano blitz' are still very effective. You can't throw a slant on a 3-4 defense because Demarcus fucking Ware covers the entire field I guess. You can swing pass to the HB because recievers dont block and you get stalled until you have no gain or a gain of a yard.

Opponents play man, give you a heavy blitz then play a delayed bump. So even if you call the right audible your fucked. Why? Chances are the line is stacked with 8 or 9 defenders, you can't roll out and make a throw becuase 3-4 DE's are just too fast it seems. Unless your playing as Tony Romo who seems to have the same acceleration as Vick. The other guy usually plays as a Safety. And even though you've set a TE, both backs in protection and you sent a WR on a go route, somehow he's still able to catch up to your WR and make a play or pick regardless of being at the LOS during the snap.

In a 4-3 your line itself never gets pressure. Your DT's have no push up the middle and the pocket is usually fine for an extended period of time unless you play as a Dlineman. DT's are simply meatshields for blitzing linebackers, no matter how you slide protect somebody is screwed. Because all the other guy has to do is take a DT, or DE, and simply "run outside" of the tackle and he doesn't drop back far enough to protect.

Again, Fuck E.A. Fuck this game, and since I'm at it, Fuck about 3/4 of these assholes that play.

Both of these titles penalize people for playing like its a legit football simulation and not NFL Blitz.

hes right about the Oline AI being completely retarded

you can just take a DE and run outside right around the OT and get at the QB quickly almost every time

its also incredibly easy to manipulate the AI, you can just run any blitz and re-blitz your whole dline and someone breaks through every time

I agree with most of the criticism, but the de contains the qb quite well one on one unless the runner is someone crazy like Pryor or Chiles.

The blocking is quite poor because it is all animation driven. Add in a super turbo mode like run commit and it gets even worse.

Actual physics at the point of attack would prevent the stupidity of speed formations dominating power sets.

One thing I would say is stock sliders aren't an option. The gameplay can be improved a ton by tweaking the slides, but you'll have to be patient. It takes some failed tweaks before you get it just right.

Maybe if your playing DE contain. However DE's that are on a normal rush pattern don't disengage from the OT's well at all. They hang there playing cat's craddle even while the QB is running well outside the pocket.

Well that's a little different. I thought you were saying DEs simply couldn't keep up with the QBs, when in fact they're a little too fast to help compensate for that factor.

So I need to pre-order NCAA...I've got some Best Buy gift cards, and I would like to pre-order from BB if I could (and possibly future games). What's everyone's experience with it, and how do you go about picking up the game, etc??
