NCAA 13 (PS3) 5th Annual Online Dynasty Thread

Wait... So Iron switched from Virginia to Georgia Tech?
Yep. I should've picked them in the first place, but didn't realize that I wasn't going to have time to learn a new offense.

I beat Georgia Tech, with Virginia, the previous week. That way I couldn't go undefeated by switching to Georgia Tech. The under center option isn't anymore broke dick than previous years, so I asked Olaf if I could make the switch. In my dynasty, I can build the team that I want to run, and take my time doing it. In this dynasty, I need a ready-made team, just so I can be reasonably competitive. IIRC, Georgia Tech has a slightly lower OVR (for whatever that's worth), so I was hoping there wouldn't be a problem with me trading down, and causing my own loss, along with giving myself a team that actually fits the style that I want to play.

The good news is I was able to use all of my recruiting time. The bad news is recruiting is not going too hot. But I like the new recruiting better than in the past. It's more controllable and so far I am really enjoying the scouting, even though its difficult. Especially with the ATH, it just takes so much time to scout them. Is it me or is there more 3* Gems than 4/5* busts?

Iron - I have no problem with it... just making sure since Olaf kinda half assed the announcement

Heck, seems like there are more 4/5* busts then hidden gems. At least the guys I have been looking at. So I guess I should be looking at the guys you are recruiting... eh? :sneaky:

But I do agree, recruiting seems harder, but at the same time less frustrating. At least you can pick the pitches versus getting unlucky that all that comes up are the least & very low pitches in the roulette wheel of recruiting.

The funny thing is I got disappointed in the linemen we were both high on and gave up on him, but I think he was still 78-80 or something like that.

I have noticed it in this league, but also of offline dynasty as well. Maybe its just coincidence so far but it sure feels like gems are more prevelant. I had a guy in my offseason that went from a 70 to an 80 QB with 96 Accuracy and low 80's power. Of course I failed to turn off CPU assist and it offered a 1* SS that took my final spot, but that's a different story.

The stats dont tell the whole story, but Lattimore is a beast in this game. I had him dead to rights in the backfield on almost every run but he kept breaking tackles left and right. My game was never really in doubt and I played pretty careless during the game, but SC's offense was able to sustain drives on the back of Lattimore.

So Piney is really switching to Eastern Michigan? That's just awesome! I have someone to play in conference now!

I did almost pick Ohio... if their Senior class wasn't 20+ with all starters I probably would have picked them.
