NCAA 12 (PS3) 4th Annual Online Dynasty Thread

Advanced to Coaching Carousel.

The first thing I came to was my End of Season Contract Update. I just finished my first year of a three-year contract. I have 86% job security with 0 goals failed, 5 goals in progress, and 7 goals met.

When I back out of that screen, a pop-up says that Piney is now on the clock. I guess he's first in the coaching carousel. It looks like I also have the ability to force a contract pick if need be. I don't know how the picking order is determined.

Piney, when you're done, let me know. I don't know if you'll get a pop-up saying who's next or what.

This is the first offseason for this coaching carousel thing. I'm hoping not to [censored] anything up too bad. If you're gone for a bit (Fanatic/JLB), I can force a contract pick. The thing is, I don't want to click on that tab while Piney's up. Knowing EA, if I select it, I'll immediately force Piney to be the New Mexico coach by mistake.
that sounds like a risk worth taking

Well, your up next BN, so enjoy.

I am even going to be nice and give everyone a warning. If you apply for a coaching job, you are not guarenteed to get the job. If that happens, you are no longer the head coach of the college you were coaching.

So apparantly I eff'd up and now no longer the coach of Ohio???

So don't anyone take the Ohio job, and see if the carousel comes back to me and lets me be the Ohio coach again.

For serious? What kind of garbage is that?

Really? Jesus. Piney, which jobs were you up for?

Ole Miss...

Surprisingly when I went over their roster it was quite appealing.

But this is the first time doing this, we'll see how this goes and if I can't get the job back. Or at least get another job I can live with, you would assume I can drop from the dynasty and come back in and be able to pick Ohio.

Did Ole Miss show up as a job offer and you still didn't get it? Or did you have free reign to choose any team?

It was a free reign type of thing. Gave you a list of jobs that were open and were interested in you as a candidate. You can check to see what other contracts were signed too.

It was partly my fault for never looking online to read up on it and seeing how it is run, or what everything meant. Plus I was rushed for time as my kids were screaming their heads off. (did it before bedtime) So I decided to try, the last thing I thought was if I applied for a job and didn't get it, that I wouldn't be able to keep my Ohio job.

The key might have been that my contract had expired, maybe I needed to sign my contract before I could have applied for the other job??? So if you are mid-contract, it might be different.

It makes no difference. It's stupid and totally unrealistic.

So who's up?

Also, as an FYI, I'll be moving TCU to the Big East and aTm to the SEC. I'll also move Fresno State, Nevada, and Hawaii to the Mountain West.

I might hold off moving TCU to the Big East...

About who is next up, I think it might be Moorzboys or whatever the screen name was. So you might want to check on your end who is up, cuz if he is up next, you would have to make his move for him.

Yeah, I think I'll end up moving TCU to the Big XII.

I forced MooreBoyz to resign with Colorado State. Fanatic's up. Fanatic, I can force you to either keep your current job or take the defensive coordinator job at Oklahoma State.

Texas Tech isn't even listed as an open or filled position.

Funny story. One job is listed under "Unexpected Jobs." That's the Defensive Coordinator for Ohio. That's because Jimmy Burrow (B+) left to take the HC job at Ohio. Under filled positions, Ohio's status says, "Phil Piney (C+) had his contract expire." Ole Miss decided to keep Houston Nutt for one more year. Sorry, Piney. I have no idea what's up with you now.
