Anyone see the last run that he broke away from 3 or 4 NCST players? GREAT play. He seems pretty accurate with the pass as well

Reminded me of his brother :) VT can be very good is Vick matures

this is a damn good game... both D's hare hitting hard... a few big plays on either side...

with the way that their D is playing, NC State could have nearly put this game away if they hadn't committed 4 Personal Fouls... gotta be more disciplined than that...

how do you think these D's compare with the Silver Bullets?

obviously ours is more disciplined, our linebackers and secondary are better in my opinion, they dont really have as many big names as our defense, but their defensive line as of now is honestly better. there are alot of comparisons, they both are great tacklers and have great speed. i think our defense is faster though, the difference is the hogs up front for NC State, i wish we had a line like that.

NCSTs line is a lot better than OSU's as of RIGHT NOW...I don't know if it'll be that way all year. Our LBs are better, and our secondary is probably on par.

Of course, OSU's defense is much more disciplined and hasn't publicly called the offense terrible...I think those intangibles give us the edge. If you add up all the penalties the defense commits and put those into the total yards of teams, I'd bet NCST loses its #1 ranking from last year

i guess i'd have to agree with that... our Back 7 is better, especially the linebackers, but their front 4 is just disgusting... a 265 pound D-end that runs a 4.43? are you kidding me? did you see when he ran Imoh down from behind?

the thing is, imagine how sick the Silver Bullets would be if Pitcock, Kudla and Co could be that disruptive? not that i don't think we can get to that point, but MAN! i'm a little jealous of Chuck Tomato's D-line...

then again, how many personal fouls have there been? the 'Pack would still be in the lead if it wasn't for that stupid penalty on 3rd down... instead, the Hokies get another chance, and turn it into three...

I don't think I've EVER seen a fair catch inside the 1 yard line...wow

It's like their defense's lack of discipline is spreading

Edit: Now I understand why the team who led the NATION in defense last year (and returns most of it) is unranked at the start of the season...

two TERRIBLE descisions are going to cost the 'Pack the lead... first the personal foul on 3rd down, and now fair catching the ball on the one... VT is on the 20, and unless something drastic happens, the Hokies are going to come out of this with the lead...

DISCIPLINE!
