From a TV ratings standpoint there is no comparison between the NFL and any other sport. The NBA needs to blow away NASCAR and MLB before it worries about the NFL.

Despite some rule changes that seem to sissify the game, the league hasn't suffered a bit. I prefer seeing a QB getting his clock cleaned, too, but the top ones are $100 million investments. They're going to be protected as much as possible.

I agree Jake....when I created the thread, I was just thinking about how far the NBA has come in the last 2 years. Superstars like LeBron, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Kobe, Wade, etc. are all pretty young, and very marketable.

While the NFL continues to be king, they are also changing the game to a apoint where many are turned off. I'll always watch the NFL, but the rules changes are absurd and too impactful on the game. I can't count how many games have been changed on a ridiculous roughing the passer penalty. Something a defender can't control many times. It's just ridiculous.
