NBA Finals - Celtics vs. Lakers

Sure he's critical to Boston winning games. But your original post said that

"but boston played as bad as i have seen them play in game 3 and had a chance"

I merely noted that LA played horribly in Games 1 and 2 and still had a chance. You then changed the subject by replying as follows:

"i tend to disagree with you....kobe hasn't scored only 6 points in any game...boston can't win with pierce doing that"

You're essentially saying that LA can only be considered to have played poorly if Kobe scores only 6 points in a game. That's not true. They played poorly (as Kobe, Phil, or any commentator) in Games 1 and 2, and Kobe scored much more than 6 points.

Regardless of your failure to understand the logic of the above argument, I stand by my original point: even though it doesn't really matter at the end of the day whether a team hung close even by playing poorly, the same statement can be made about the Lakers in Games 1 and 2 that you're trying to make yourself feel better now by stating with respect to the Celtics in Game 3.

i am not speaking from LA's point of view because i am not a lakers fans...i am just calling it from a celtics point of view..pierce is vital to boston's success...hey if LA scores only 87 points again in game 4..i will be happy...

Well last nights game took out one of my vbets so now the celts must win in 7 or the lakers must win so that I can collect. I need the Lakers to win some just to get me past the 5 or 6 game if the Celts win.
Kobe and that one guard shot the crap out of the ball. Should be a good series from what I have seen so far.

...and therein lies the problem. You want to think that the fact that the Celtics played poorly but kept the game close bodes well for Boston's chances the rest of the series, yet you refuse to admit that Lakers' fans (of which I am not one, for the record) can make the exact same argument and thereby claim that spells doom for the Celtics.

Look at it this way, assume team A and team B each turn the ball over 3 times in a football game and team B wins by a field goal. What you're doing is the equivalent of arguing that team B got lucky and team A would win the next time the two play because team A played poorly in the above game by turning the ball over 3 times. Of course, in doing so, you're ignoring that fans of the other team could make the exact same argument.

Fwiw I think the lakers will win the next 2 at home, Kobe is Da Man.

I was saying that also, but like we should take one game at a time. Home court is the forte in the playoffs & finals.

Then steal one in Boston, how sweet:banger:

Apparently Lamar Odom got his car fixed and actually made it to the game tonight. Here's hoping we can stay aggressive.
And nice to see Trevor contributing too. He is actually one of my favorite NBA players. I got to see him a lot here, and in a few years he could be on the All-Defensive Team. And he can throw down nasty.
