Meh, if the FB doesn't whiff on his block...

I liked the confidence of that call and they got lucky it didn't bite them in the ass when it didn't work.

Just watched the game on my TiVo. I'm on the West Coast so I slept in and watched the game.

My thoughts were that Pryor looked great, Saine looked great, Boom looked decent, the oline needs help, and WR's need to step it up. Too many dropped balls and bad execution. On defense we didnt look too aggressive, and our secondary needs help IMO. I thought our offense was very efficent, but very conservative. The defense needed to be more aggressive.

I think we have a good shot next week. I would say it's going to be a good game.

A win is a win. Pryor is going to be a Heisman winner when it is all said and done. Next week he is going to carry this team offensively.

Need to improve run-blocking, and overall defense.

Thanks for posting this.

The singing of the Alma Maters is a very big part of the Army-Navy game. It's great that they extend the courtesy to other opponents who also sing their Alma Mater after games.

To those in attendance: Did the Buckeyes similarly respect the singing of "Navy Blue & Gold"?

Plus, whipping SJST isn't a very difficult thing to do...at home especially.

I'm feeling better about next week after watching the USC game so far. SJST was getting to Barkley on most pass plays, and USC's O-Line looked a little slow. I assume a lot of that is first week jitters, much like Navy for us, but it is encouraging that a team like SJST is getting through. Now, USC's run game...wow. 4 RB in the first half, all looked pretty good. We typically do well against the run, but lets see...I still say we get to Barkley early and often, plus Terelle Pryor officially starts his Heisman hunt next week :wink:

He could have a big day against the USC defense, they seem prone to let players slip through tackles...again, could be a first game thing, but we'll see.

So I've never used this site much at all, but I felt inclined to tell you all what an AWESOME time I had at the game today.

I go to one game a year and its usually a blowout against a MAC school, so it was a great experience to go to a game that was a contest late into the 4th quarter. I love Rolle's return, but secretly I wouldn't have minded if Navy had made the conversion...there'd have been no way TP wouldn't have led the Buckeyes down the field for a game-winning field goal try. Would have loved to have seen it!

Anyway, just felt like sharing my experience with everyone...happy Labor Day!

On the scroll bar on E-SPiN, it keeps saying that "OSU avoids being upset".

Umm, IIRC, the two point conversion would have just tied the game, not won the game. If E-SPiN is dead set on disrespect, at least make it factual with "OSU hangs on to beat Navy".
