My Mouse

Man my fucking mouse keeps getting stuck all the time. I don't know what the fucking deal is. My computer doesnt freeze but the mouse will.

Also sometimes it just goes crazy, it fucking flys all over the screen opens and shuts windows, so I don't think it is the mouse itself.

Any suggestions.

run your spyware or anti virus software... that may work.

Hit it with a shoe, or try one of those glue traps. Don't try to shoot it with a shotgun, it just makes a mess of everything.

Believe it or not there is a virus that effects your mouse. First I would just try a different mouse..........then go from there.

I don't think it is the mouse b/c it shouldnt just fly all over the screen.

I will try running osme spyware and see if I get anywhere.

Is it a wireless mouse? Had to stop using mine for similar reasons... I chalked it up to interference, or evil magic, or whatever.

An Optical Mouse will fly all over the screen depending on the surface it's on. My mouse at work does do that because of a reflective type surface on my desk. Is it an optical mouse, and do you have it on a mousepad?

Optical. I was traveling a lot at the time, so I usually just used whatever table was available, no mousepad. Resetting worked sometimes, but not always. Doesn't matter now that I've trained myself to use the touchpad instead; was just curious if this might be the same problem.

Yep I have had similar problems with optical mice, not even wireless ones, just optical. The laser ones are sweet though.

if it's not wireless then i would try a new mouse after running spyware removal tool/antivirus scan. Normally these problems occur more with optical mice than rolling ball ones. Mice are pretty cheap now so I'd just upgrade to the standard MS optical mouse anyways...$13 maybe?
