Why does anyone care? far as I'm concerned this is between Mili and who he bet.... Not Mili, who he bet and thump (Who brought it up that day (when Ginn took the snap)... Not mili, who he bet and anyone else....

Mili could have just as well said, "Come on, you know I wasn't serious about not posting for a month" and I would have been fine with it. I mean, fuck a duck, I've made all kind of "bets" that I didn't intend to be actual bets and werent "collected on" when I "lost" them.

I suppose the next time I use the words, "I bet ya" to bolster an arguement I'd better be willing to pay the fiddler, huh? I bet you all a million bucks, I won't.

definitely wasn't a flippant "I bet ya..."

mili was one game from getting to mess with someone's signature, but it didn't work out. not sure where "2 weeks" is stated.

uuuuummm... its a v bet people. we're not talking about rl money or sexual favors from playmates. does anyone really care that much if mili is "banned" for a few weeks? personally i like him still being able to post. that way i can harrase him over loosing his bet to me on a single flippin snap all season long :biggrin: .

hey mili, what do you think the chances are jt actually reads this board and threw that play in just to fuck with you? rofl! i can see jt now. "hmmm... what havent i ran today? oooooh! troy come here, run a spite mili #7 option on 2!" :p

No red rubies. I paid MistriBuck the $200, real cash, that I had bet him (still have the money order receipts to prove it). Now, if I were to try and wolverine, er, weasel, out of a bet it would be for $200 and not for a stupid signature or time off from posting.

Concerning the size of the signature, that wasn't stipulated (I may be gruff at times, but I ain't stupid). As for using my week away from the board as time counted against my "penalty", I just call that good time management. :biggrin:

BKB, because if I didn't honor this, at least to a degree, then you'll have folks like Thump jumping up and down (like he already did before) about the bet.

Hey man, I never even saw the original bet, buckeyefool mentioned it to me after the game at a tailgate and of course never one to miss a good jab at Mili, I brought it up.

Still think he's a freaking Welcher! :biggrin:

I don't need to check the MO receipts man. You are going to pay that 50$ for BP server anyway..as somebody else remarked just go ahead and say you were not serious about the 'not posting' for 1 month part and start posting man...Now, who's going to put a stop to Vtech or ND/Oregon troll if he starts posting on this board? Even 'goodguy' or 'martinss' would be happy with that. I don't think anybody wants you to be banned from making posts for 2 weeks/1 month except for (may be) Tibor..

Wow, this is a strange thread, but I have some thoughts (all just my opinions, so take it for what that's worth)...

1. As soon as a bet is made on a board, it's fair game to criticize, agree with, make fun of, whatever...

2. I would have bet that Ginn would have taken more than 10 snaps at QB.

3. I would not have made the stakes a month off of posting. I don't see the point in agreeing to do that.

4. Bets are either honored, or they're not. You can't "kind of honor" a bet.

5. Mililani, although I find it admirable that you are coming forth and agreeing to portions of the stakes, you aren't honoring the bet.

6. I could care less if you did honor it. Actually, I'd rather you didn't.

7. As Thump already pointed out, if you don't follow through with your exact payment, someone will call you a welcher. If that's what you're trying to avoid, you need to pay up 100%.

8. Bottom line, my opinion is you shouldn't have agreed to those stakes, and your plan isn't honoring the bet, but screw it. Life is too short.

I don't know about anyone else but that is one of the things that angers me more than anything.

If you're going to spout your mouth off and make a bet then you better be man enough to pay if off.

Why do you think bookies break legs?

I ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS pay off a bet no matter what it is. The main thing is I never make ridiculous pay-offs part of the bet.

Heck, I bet my father-in-law, who is loaded, last year that the Bengals would have a better season than the Browns and we only bet a dollar. He paid me off with 100 pennies Liquid Nailed to a piece of cardboard.

Best dollar I ever won!

Hell, I even honor bets I make when I'm drunk.

In summation, any real man pays his bet period.

I see he is kinda keeping his word. But lets face it, if it was someone else he would probably be on their ass saying you said this and that, and how you promised this and all that shit. I think he should fulfill his original promise on the bet and go away for the month.


What would you all say if I had made that exact same bet and pulled this shit of well "I'm only gonna go away for a few days here, and I'll serve some time next month and then finish it next year"?

I think because of who he is(not forgetting that he's also a moderator), that is why he isn't catching very much stuff about this.
