My buddy's house burnt down...

Buckin' A

Veritas Aequitas
This weekend, a good friend of mine's house burnt down. He, his wife, and 3 kids were inside sleeping when the fire started. Thank God, they all got out, but they lost everything. His truck was even in the garage and was lost.

He was a Fairfield County Deputy Sheriff, then a Lancaster Police Officer for years. Last year he left and went to Reynoldsburg PD and still works there. They lived just north of Lancaster.

I don't want to turn this into a love/hate cop thing. He is a proud man is having trouble accepting the help that they need. When you think about everything in your house and what it would be like to lose it...wow.

We have set up a fund at National City where donations can be made. We at least want to get them some money to get the kids clothing and such until the insurance company can figure out what they will do.

I don't want it to seem like we are asking for a hand out, he wouldn't want that. But if anybody wants to do anything, just give me a PM. Mainly, I just wanted to get the word out to try to get him and his family as much help as I can.

Would $ or clothes and food be better for them?

I can give what ever they need....

I just got off the phone with a guy from work. They got some money together and took them to Walmart last night and got some clothes for the kids. I don't know how much, but it's a start.

I think anything will help right now, they really don't have anything. They do have good familes and some good people around them helping. I think clothes or money will be a big help. Some people have offered clothes and I thank you very much. I just need to figure out a way to get them to his family b/c I know BP members are from all over.

Do you have contact information where we can send donations to National City Bank?

I was told that you can go to any National City. There has been an account set up (I believe at the Lancaster, Ohio branch) in care of the Terry Williams family. Thanks.
