This makes me recall what happened on the Texas campus in 1966. I was only 10 at the time, and when Charles Whitman was sniping people on the Austin campus from the top of Texas Tower it made a real impression on me. I took a tour of the Tower last September 9th, just a couple of hours before kickoff. It's very eerie visiting sites like this, even 40 years later. I'm sure I'll be visiting some memorial to this current incident in 2014 or 2015, when tOSU plays in Blacksburg.
