My mother just told me that there is a kid from my hometown that was just killed in Italy that same way. He was staying in Italy after a stint in Iraq, and he and his buddy were talking on their cellphones while walking along the train tracks. Europe has those superfast Premier trains, and they didn't even hear it coming (also, rail regulations state that thetrains cannot sound their horns within a certain distance of a heavily populated area, or something like that). Very sad.
