Movie Team Dynasty Report

0-2, yikes. We probably shouldn?t have lost today to Cincinnati, but untimely fumbles and a couple pick sixes really hurt our chances. Sure, the 2 wide open, dropped passes in the endzone could?ve sealed the win for us, but really it should not have been that close.

Our line play is still playing terribly, no time to throw, running game is just alright, and my receivers drop everything in sight.

Even despite all of that, we were only down 6 with 2 min left, got a stop on 3rd down, but also picked up a facemask penalty? oh well.

Hopefully we can get some recruits who want to help turn around our program (and be around the topless female safety during practice & team functions), but its not looking good this season.

That game was a lot worse than the scoreboard indicates... ESU 66, WCanaan 41 for those keeping score at home.

Joe Kane showed why he is a legitimate Heisman Candidate, completing 22/38 passes for 465 yards and 8 tds with zero picks.

Freshman TB Darnell Jefferson toted the ball 15 times for 84 yds.

Junior TE Travis Stewart had his coming out party, catching 5 passes for 198 yards and 3tds. Not to be outdone, 6'8 223lb senior WR Jeremy Pruitt had 5 catches for 109 yards and 2tds.

Leading the way defensively for the Timberwolves was senior FS Mark Flowers who had 13 tackles, behind him, All-American Alvin Mack notched 8 tackles (3 tfl) and a sack.

I am so [censored]ed off right now. That was the worst game of football I have ever been a part of. Georgia got every lucky break, every call, everything.

Let?s see, Caleb King has been a bust for years now, yet today he channels Herschel Walker himself. He broke 5 tackles in one play. Whenever I blitzed, their quarterback just chucks up some stupid pass that just so happens to be right on the money every time.

Every time we would drive down the field and get into scoring position, they were guaranteed a sack. They were 1 sack short of a dozen on the day, and that doesn't count the endless qb pressures. Gee Grenouille couldn't complete anything, generally because he missed every open receiver. I decided to bring in Big Tex despite my hatred for the man. His passing was just as bad because he threw everything 110 miles per hour, just like his time at Michigan. Did I mention how many open passes my receivers and backs dropped, even after I personally sprayed their hands with stickum?

They rushed for 248 yards on 46 carries. I rushed for 24 yards on 12 attempts. They hurdled me a half dozen times! They also didn't get called for a single penalty, and I was at home!!!

My quarterback would get tapped on the shoulder as he releases the football, it would flutter upwards like a convulsing duck and land perfectly in the hands of a defensive lineman. Of course he'd return it for a touchdown. What are the chances of that?

I could go on all day! I can accept losing, but I at least want a decent opportunity to win the game. You wouldn't know it from looking at me, but I?m ranked as one of the best coaches in America. That doesn't really matter when I?m not given a shot.

Huge rivalry win for my convicts, 29-26 over #16 Iowa.

I was about 15 seconds from coming on here and blowing a gasket. Iowa didn?t get a first down on my defense for over half of the game, let alone sore. Paul Wrecking Crewe has our offense in the redzone in the 3rd quarter. He spots an open tight end in the endzone, but some white LB jumps like he is Lebron and picks the pass off.

From there Iowa couldn?t be stopped and we couldn?t do a damn thing. Jewel Hampton transformed into a hall of fame back, their 2nd string QB (Weinke) looked like John Elway out there, and my defense suddenly shifted from suffocating Iowa to just lying down and suffocating. We couldn?t even pick off passes thrown right at them, including one in the endzone.

Wrecking Crewe managed to drive the length of the field during a two minute drill. On 4th down from the 12 with :14 sec left, we managed to punch it in the endzone.

I?m glad we won, but I knew it was too good to be true when we got up 19-0 in the third. Sadly, I was right.

Hoover Bucs (0-1) at Auburn Tigers (1-0)

The attitude in the locker room was much more somber before this game than the previous.

"I'll be the first to admit that we struggled as a team...the score made dat obvious. But, in the face of adversity, when you're mistakes are staring you in the face there is only one clear way to make atonement."

With that a few of the sullen Hoover faces looked up at him.

"You have to push forward, in tryin' not to make those same damn mistakes again. That is the only way that we know how to go on, both as football players and as men."

That was the first time Propst referred to them as men, with that all the heads in the room plucked up.

"We, as a team, are at a crossroads in this young season. We can learn...or we can fail. Hoover is not a school of failure. You. You all are not men of failure. Success is through that door...now lets go git it!"

"YEAAAAHHHHH!!!!!" the players screamed as they ran through the door, incensed from they're coach's words.

Let's hope that the speech works this time...

Game Recap:

Q1:
Auburn took the opening kick, and marched the ball methodically down the field, never once seeing a third down on the way to a 4 yard touchdown pass from Burns...who was on his way to a historic day.

The rest of the first quarter was a mired defensive struggle, which both teams could not break. The quarter ended 7-0 in favor of War Eagle.

Q2:
Wilson finally lead a drive deep into Auburn territory, but Auburn's relentless pressure led him to a hurried past that looked like it might connect in the endzone...

int20auburn.jpg

but the jump ball was intercepted. Check the cool reflection in the stadium monitor.

Auburn could only muster up a field goal from that turnover, however they were now up 10-0 with 5:17 left in the second.

Hoover alternated quarterbacks the next drive, and converted one third down before settling for a 43 yard FG to put them down by 7. The Buccaneer defense would then force a three and out putting the ball in the hands of the offense with 2:48 left in the half. The offense would do worse than sputter however:

as McNeil strips the ball loose from Ramsey the tightend. The ball layed precariously on the floor before being scooped by an Auburn player. It looked like Clear (WR) would catch him before he scored however his dive was futile:

dammit202.jpg

and came up woefully short. 17-3 Auburn.

The special teams sparked and Hoover was able to return it to midfield, but could only get a FG again.

"Dagummit, these fieldgoals are gonna ruin us! Gotta get TD's!"

You said it coach. 17-6 Auburn.

Auburn would try and play ball control but were stuffed (the run defense was coming up huge). Hoover took over the ball with 1 timeout and 35 seconds remaining.

"They've been manning up all game...lets see if we can catch them napping. PA Corners, hot route all TEs and RBs to block. They're killing us on sacks."

The play was sent in. Charlie Zorn, the JR WR who didn't record a single stat the last game was called upon to turn the tide of the game. Battle took the snap, saw no safety help over top and lofted the ball...

zorntd.jpg

and Zorn brings it in, outracing the Tigers to the endzone! 17-12 now.

"Go for two, don't know if we're gonna score another TD."

The two point conversion was converted and it was 17-14 at half!

Q3

Auburn would stop the opening Hoover drive of the 3rd quarter, and the Hoover defense did the same. Then, with 2:38 seconds left in the third, Burns would connect with Billings for a 77 yard score which demoralized the Hoover sideline. The offense would go three and out, bringing out the defense. The three linebackers, who were having an amazing game, would not let the team go out crying again stepped up. Dejohn recorded the first tackle on a FB trap, Binder cut down Tate (RB) on a sweep, and Fowler saving the best for last on a crossing route. Fowlers eyes lit up when he saw the Auburn receiver coming across the middle...and did his best Ray Lewis impersonation:

yes21.jpg

Knocking the ball out and the receiver on his ass. The sideline erupted as the offense trotted out onto the field, ready to make a difference. Their difference? Another fieldgoal.

"GODAMMIT!"

24-17 Auburn at the end of three.

Q4

Auburn drove for 4+ minutes tacking on another fieldgoal with 4:06 remaining in the game. Wilson, under pressure was sacked (9th sack of the game :( ) and on the next throw was hit and picked off. Auburn took the ball again and proceeded to score a touchdown, causing much consternation to the Hoover defense who was being put in horrible position after horrible position.

It was now 34-17 with 2:30 left in the game. Game Over. Time for some garbage points to make it look better.

Battle was officially given the keys to the offense, and responded with an 11 play drive, capped of with a touchdown pass to Zorn (who played great). 34-24

Hoover lined up for an onside with 1:52 left...which they didn't recover. Great.

"Defense, I need the ball. I got ta haves it. If you can bring it to me..."

Two Ben Tate runs left Hoover with no time outs and 1 play to make a difference. Tate took the handoff and responded with 7 yards, but instead of going down he goes for a stiff arm in traffic! Byron Clear, one of the Clear twins, pokes the ball loose and scoops it up endzone ahead!!!

fumble20for20td21.jpg

See Tate looking at his hands...asking them what happened?
Also see number 9 (Clear) racing and running like his life depended on it.

TD HOOVER! 34-31.

But Hoover still needed and onside kick and drive for a FG with 45 seconds remaining...neigh impossible.

No [censored]ing way. No [censored]ing way. 40 seconds left with the ball and no time outs.

Battle escapes out of a sack and throws a jump ball to the 6'5" Clear (other twin) and he comes down with it at the Tiger 40. 25 seconds left when Battle calls his own play, a fake spike, and connects with Zorn again! Down to the Tiger 21. Battle kills the clock with 11 seconds remaining. The kicker trots out, ice cold from Auburn's time outs, and nails it!

OT HERE WE COME!

OT

Auburn wins the toss and elects to play offense first? Cocky bastards...

Not one first down is managed and they line up for the field goal:

That's what the hell they get!

Propst brings in his power back and bowls the ball down to the 5 yardline, where he sends out the kicker to win the game...

Which he does! 37-34 Hoover! [censored] you, War Eagle! Game Over!

And so it goes... 0-3 :smash:

It was still a respectable 14-17 USC at halftime. Boom, first play from scrimmage afterwards, all out blitz, open receiver, but QB gets hit as he throws, DT takes it down to the 1.

Still, we had a chance going into the 4th quarter. Down 13, with the ball. I set up a WR screen, good blocking, QB throws it not to the WR, but to the safety for a pick 6. That was basically the end of the game.

We have no offense. I called a conservative game to keep us in it, hnce the 14-17 halftime score. We really couldn?t move the ball, the running game was decent but not stellar, and the passing game was garbage as always. My players seem to be getting slower with each passing week, which I would have thought would be impossible.

Our D was able to hold their own for the most part, thanks to some passes by Corp, allowing my DBs to intercept passes thrown right to them. My WRs keep dropping wide open passes with no one around and QB time to throw. I may break my own kneecaps if this doesn?t turn around soon.

We had some key recruits at the game, which doesn?t bode well for the season. Not looking good for the Zissou.

Joe Kane kept our timberwolves rolling today, halting Clemson 42-21. He completed 21/40 passes for 386 yards, 3tds/2ints.

However the stars of the game were in the backfield.

Darnell Jefferson carried the rock 31 times for 231 yards and a score. Not to be outdone Senior fullback Ray Griffin carried twice for 29 yds but added 90 yds on 4 catches and 2 scores through the air.

Star defensive end Steve Lattimer had 3 sacks to lead the Wolves defensively and senior CB Brandon Rankin returned an interception for 6 points.

Dang it Shark, why did you have to go and injury Boobie for? My trainer just called me and said he's out for 2 weeks with a damn hip pointer. I thought he just pulled himself out of the game to protect his ypc average.
