Mount Union (OH) Purple Raiders (13-time D-III National Champions)

I have often wondered if Kehres has ever been approached for a Division I job or if he is just not interested in leaving the thriving metropolis of Alliance. Also, I think that the QB who is playing for them now good play and a number of Division I schools across the country along with many other other past QBs.

I've lived in the area all my life, and that's what Kehres does. A kid I graduated with was all-state at MLB, Runner up for D6 Defensive POY. Couldn't even sniff the field there and he had size, speed, and an excellent reading ability (on the field).

I don't think he wants to go somewhere and be a doormat, and very few Big Schools are willing to go Tressel and go after lower division coaches.

I look at it as similar as to why Pete Carroll won't leave USC.

He's dominating D3 and has for a long time... he has the most talented team year in and year out and his pick of recruits along with continuity on the staff.

Purple Raiders waste no time getting the lead on Wisconsin-Whitewater, 7-0.

Fourth year in a row these two face off for the NC. That's nuts.

make that 14-0 already

looks like Coach Kehres may be bringing home his 10th National Title

Dominance of Mount Union in D-III football is way past legendary. Amazing how they pick up some pretty good talent year after year, and get coached up to be a great team. Also mention teh Kenyon Lords in swimming. Two pretty darn good teams in Ohio rival the UCLA and Celtics basketball win streaks.

Now if we could only get ESPN to notice......forget it who cares about ESPN. Congrats to Mount Union and to Kenyon.

My cousin's dad went to (and I think he played for) Mt. Union once upon a time. lol So the football team always gets brought up at the family Christmas get-together. Will this one be on ESPN?
According to their schedule it looks like it is on ESPN U... I'm assuming it'll also be on ESPN3.com if you get that. The regular ESPN channel is broadcasting the "prestigious" New Mexico and Humanitarian Bowls that day.
