Auburn STILL fugging sucks! WAR CHICKEN!
SO ya'll know what I'm up to...
Recently acquired a 1995 Triumph Daytona Super III, 12K miles, impeccable condition.
Only 805 were produced worldwide 1994-1996, only 179 coming to the USA, so I jumped on it.
Differences between standard '95 Daytona 900 and the Super III:
Carbon front and rear fenders
carbon dash panels
6-piston front calipers
fully adjustable forks (3-way) and rear shock
hotter cams and headwork by Cosworth Engineering ( std 900: 95hp, Super III: 115hp)
Looking for a Speed Triple, or maybe a Legend TT or Thunderbird/Thunderbird Sport to also work on.
Right now, the Speed III is on my lift, gonna pull the carbs to rebuild them, check the valve clearances, and fix up some of the rubber stuff that has aged, ie, carb manifolds (to engine and airbox), inside the carbs (o-rings and gaskets), and maybe work on the ignition a little.
Dynojet kit is next, followed by trying air pods vs the stock airbox.
