I'd hit it.

I mean literally - I'd hit that POS for leaving her kids in the car like that, then basically defending her right to do it. Kids are innocent and fragile, and when they are crapped on by their care provider it's the most heinous thing in the world.

I was just looking at this

http://www.ocala.com/article/20110712/ARTICLES/110719931?p=1&tc=pg

Early on July 1, 2009, in the dark of the night, the python escaped from its den in the living room, slithered approximately 12 feet to a nearby bedroom, crawled up the side of this crib and coiled itself around the toddler sleeping peacefully inside.
Not even a sound was heard the next room over, where the girl?s mother and her boyfriend ? who sleeps ?as light as a feather? ? were also asleep. For that stealth attack, which killed Shaianna Hare by strangulation, her adult guardians are standing trial this week.
Jaren Hare, 21, and Charles ?Jason? Darnell, 34, both Oxford residents, are charged with involuntary manslaughter, third-degree murder and child neglect, all punishable by up to a combined 35 years in prison, for failing to keep the girl safe from the snake.

Police: Man Left Son Asleep Outside Strip Club

3-Year-Old Found In Back Of SUV

POSTED: 5:08 pm EDT July 14, 2011
UPDATED: 5:12 pm EDT July 14, 2011
INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis father faces charges of neglect after he left his 3-year-old son asleep outside a strip club, police said.
Officers were called to the Dancers Gentleman's Club on West Washington Street just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday on a report of a child inside a vehicle.
Police said they found the 3-year-old boy asleep in the back seat of an SUV with no adults around.
When the boy's father, Thomas Yates, 33, came out of the strip club a few minutes later, police said they tried to take him into custody, but he fought back against officers.
According to the police report, Yates told officers he had come to the strip club to pick up a friend who was intoxicated and had asked a "guy standing in the parking lot" to watch his son while he went inside.
But video surveillance showed Yates had been in the bar for nearly 30 minutes by the time police arrived, according to the report.
Yates was arrested on preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent, resisting law enforcement and battery against a police officer.

Oh Hell, that's nuttin'

A New Orleans man remains in custody at the Jefferson Parish Correctional center after authorities say he left a 7-year-old boy in a car during the heat of Saturday so he could gamble at Boomtown Casino.

According to the arrest register at the jail, security footage from
Boomtown Casino shows Hilton arriving at the parking lot of the business
shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday. About 90 minutes later, a passerby
walked past Hilton's vehicle and noticed a child in the car. That individual
notified casino security, the report said.

Security officers found the 7-year-old inside the car with all of the windows
rolled up, and a small crack in the driver's side window. Paramedics were
contacted, and they found the child was sweating profusely and was warm
to the touch.
It was 95 degrees that day folks. :shake:

He looks like the guy that I kicked in the face after he started trying to shine my shoes as I was walking back to the quarter after getting off of the ferry from Algiers

"I am standing tall for my sons."

I'm guessing he's standing considerably shorter since the explosion.

This is another one of those stories that makes me feel, temporarily at least, soooo much saner than I usually credit myself with being.

It also adds to my wonderment that our species has managed to endure as long as it has, when it is capable of spawning psychopathic lunatics like this scum.

The first one seems to be an absolute tragedy with some stupidity mixed in.

The 2nd case is far more serious to me at least. That could be in how the articles are written.

Both are very sad in either case.

There were five other heat-related deaths in Indiana over the weekend. In Marion County, a woman in her nineties succumbed to the heat and a 54 year-old man died. Even though he had air conditioning, neighbors say he didn't use it.
So fucking typical
