Frankly, AI is OK, it's got a beat, you can dance to it. I give it a 7, but I've never watched it.

Damn. Elliot Yamin got voted off.


Now, I know to the rest of you guys, he was just another contestant on a show that you may or may not like, but he is from where I live now, and just came home last weekend. There were parades all over the city, he came to one of the baseball games, and was within miles of my house and school all day. He actually went to high school at a school in the same district as mine.

So yeah it was pretty cool, hes a pretty good guy. A bunch of girls in one of my classes saw him at starbucks the other day, and said he was as nice as he looked out to be.

It just makes the whole American Idol thing that much better when you have someone representing your home and a personal feel to it.

I think it comes down to the "type" of fans that the remaining contestants appeal to. I believe that Taylor will win this thing hands down because he appeals to the type of fan who will call nonstop from the moment the phone lines open until the second that they close.....and then contemplate suicide for not being able to "do more". Fans of Chris Daughtry appreciated him for his talent, but weren't about to waste their time or energy calling in a bunch of votes for him. The chick that's remaining can carry a nice tune and all, but is still there more-so for her wardrobe and appeal to the horny male adolescent vote. Elliot had some serious pipes....but I think a pipe bomb must have exploded earlier in his life leaving his teeth a complete mess.

AI needs to release the voting totals to the public at the show. I think it would be interesting to see how close these votes actually are. They always say "it was the closest vote in history" and then don't reveal the numbers.

They gave percentages on the radio this morning. SOmething like 33.06%, 33.26%, and 33.68 % out of over 50 million votes.
