If last night is what we get during the rest of the year, this is going to get very ugly.

I can envision TV screens shattering from coast to coast.

We're mad as hell and we won't take it any more!

Has anyone ever figured out the need for three announcers? All I need is play-by-play and analysis. Comedians, politicians, and journalists (actually those are all kind of the same careers, but that's another story) should stick to what they do best. Seems like when there's three in the booth, there's a competition to see who can talk the most, but very little of it relates to the game. Never cared for Theismann, Tirico just lost points for living in AA, and Kornheiser should stick to his other gig. MNF used to be an event, now it's just another game. With the saturation of games on television, college and pro, maybe by Monday night, we are worn out.

People will laugh, but the good post about the multimedia crap is exactly why I like the ESPN2 Big Ten games. Yes, some announcers like Pam Ward are horrible, but at least there are only 2 people, and at least they're horrible talking about the football game being played, rather than debating what color the hair on Clay Aiken's dick is or whatever the hell the 3-man booth does to try and "appeal to a wide audience". Give me a football game with a few stats and no graphics, and I can stomach horrible announcers. The way ESPN and ABC games are though, it is just unbearable.

I like Tirico. I love hearing him call games because he is one of the last good commentators who really gets into the game, and shows emotion during exciting parts of the game. There's nothing that I can't stand more than a boring announcer who completely kills all of the hype of a great game.

Another stellar MNF matchup. I can only imagine what John would say to Stafford about the hits he takes because he holds the ball too long or doesn't throw it away if he were his coach. Bitch at the Oline all you want John but at some point you have to realize Stafford doesn't get the ball out in a timely fashion...

yeah yeah yeah....what I want to know is who the fuck does Berman think he's fooling with the can of brown(ish) shoe polish in the remnants of hair that he combs over the top of that melon of his?

What happened to having a secondary MNF game on the schedule if the original game was between to suck teams? The best thing about MNF is the Cmon Man segment.
