MNF: Ravens(-10.5) at Browns

Good god, this offense is so, so horrible. We better be drafting a few linemen early to place on the right side of the line, left side isn't too horrible with Thomas. They need a line either way you look at it, I know it was a tough Raven's defense, but they still need better protection.

Robo got a few catches in there it looked like, one might have been called back due to penalty however. Was kind of disappointed there weren't any shots downfield till the end of the 4th, then again they let up on the pressure and played lighter at the end which allowed for more time. Not sure what Brady was doing on those two balls that went out of bounds, unless he was looking for a jump ball near the line so the receiver could get out of bounds. Otherwise, they should try more deep routes to back the defense up. If that means keeping a back in to pick up blitzs, and/or a TE, whatever it takes. Some questionable offensive plays called there, too many screens that just weren't effective at slowing down this Ravens defense.

Cribbs could be seriously injured...just when you think it couldn't get worse...

Yeah, I saw that.

The real problem I saw was the complete and total lack of any real game plan. The first quarter, I thought the Browns came to fight, but then it was like nothing happened, no running the ball to open the pass, just continue to try to push through the brick wall all night.

Just my opinion, but it feels like BQ was sent out there to be shot tonight, with that type of creative playcalling what can you expect his numbers to be at the end of the night? Not that I am saying he's the next Joe Montana, but I am not willing to call him the next Rick Mirer yet.

All good points. I'm surprised that this game wasn't worse than the final score. The defense did a heck of a job. The two tipped passed accounted for 13 pionts essentially, you can only fault the defense for the FG if anything. I think Ryan's a pretty good coordinator.

On the other hand, whoever is running the offense needs to be shot. Theres no execution, no cohesiveness, no confidance. I don't really know if switching back to Brady was Mangini's worst mistake this year or the fact that he benched him to begin with. On one hand, Anderson was unquestionably the worst QB in the league, but you're not going to fare much better with Brady because the offense is horrible from the ground up.

When Mangini started Quinn at the beginning of the season, he should have stuck with him and try to stimulate the offense a little more. They ended up benching Quinn for Anderson, fine, but they probably just should have stuck with Anderson and worked on establishing a decent rushing attack to compliment Anderson's deep threat, however small that may be. Going back to Quinn...I dunno, just doesn't seem to help the confidance any. Seems like we're more than halfway through the season and they still don't know who they want in there.

At the end of the day, the problems are beyond the QB position so it means very little at this point.

I thought the D looked very good...
Exclude the one long pass play when the DB slipped .. followed by the run for a TD

Before and after... the D was great.. and unblemished...

The rest of the points were all the fault of the offense...

What was very disturbing was how terrible the left side of the OL looked...

The left side of the line looked bad because of the blitz. The right side is just bad as is, not being able to block basic assignments. Bottom line, we need a RT.

Season is over, I wish we could forfeit our remaning games just to make sure nobody else gets injured.

Two bookend tackles and a strong center would really make this team (especially the running game) far more effective. We need the presence on the right side of our line. Plain and simple.

Brady sucks, Anderson blows. I dont want to spend another 1st round pick on a QB. So, either look at late round options or elsewhere (hinty hint hint )

We need a playmaking DE, if Heyward comes out, the Browns damn well better look at him. Lewis done, Jennings, Harrison and a healthy Davis are what we have right now. Jennings had a couple strong runs last night, but he's not an every down RB and not a permanent solution. I'm not sure where will draft with this position, but I'd like to see a versitale back. Hell, why not Spiller?

He'd be a great complimentary runner, he's a recieving threat, great special teams player. Imagine having to kick off to either Cribbs or Spiller?... that's a lethal combination.

WR? MM didn't do too bad, had a nice run after the catch last night and diplayed decent strength and speed. Furrey is reliable, Heiden as well (regardless of age) and of course you have Robo.

We need a burner, a straight up, stretch the field, punish you in man type of guy. Think, Steve Smith (Carolina)

Defense: Mcdonald is garbage, regardless of how well the unit played last night and Elam is a liability whenever a team decides to go deep. That dynamic presence in the secondary would be great. I agree with many of you, Eric Berry would be a fantastic get.

OLB - need a pash rusher. Not always easy to draft one for this system.

I can't begin to address all the needs on this team as its just staggering.

But in this day and age of salary caps, FA and large drafts. Just how is it possible for a team to be this bad? How is it concievable to have talent gaps between rosters this wide?

I'm a Browns fan, and I'm lost...
