MLB General Discussion (Official Thread)

so many terrible ABs from COL. should have won gm1. story looks horrific..just completely stopped spitting on that breaking pitch and now can't lay off again..he was fantastic all season. really needed to steal one in MIL and had plenty of opportunities but in a big hole now. jopke.

marquez in 3 and freeland in 4 tho..they can still win this series but they need everyone to be perfect. wade miley can't K anybody and that generally does not work out very well at Coors Field, but it really starts & ends on the mound for COL. this matchup sunday can really help jumpstart their offense so if they get quality pitching like they have been then i like them to get this one and take it to 4

root hard boys, imo

yeah for sure. they would be prob -150 at least to win the series at that point. but i mean, charlie also ran into an out at the plate when he was at 3rd on that ground ball to 1st so even after that they still shoulda been able to win that game. then buddy black goes and sits Dahl today against a guy with a major problem vs LHH w/ Dahl being your second best lefty..and they still had plenty of chances to win today and get to the bullpen early but couldn't do anything w/ RISP. pretty tilting tbh.

i've been on the brewers going back to last season and was ecstatic when they picked up yelich & locain..they're elite now that they're in a hitter's park in MIL, so its not super surprising if COL just gets swept here given such boneheaded mistakes against a really fuckin good team. i'll still be rooting for them if they win here..really fun club to watch and yelich deserves the spotlight..been waiting for this kid to explode for 3 years

yeah could be..HOU rotation is elite and if they heat up offensively they can beat anybody, but BOS is a damn juggernaut. should be a killer few series left here. i love Tito & JRam in CLE so hope they make a little run too

LAD are pretty clearly the class in the NL and a likely MIL-LAD NLCS will be lit

Mookie, Yelich, Arenado, Story, JRam, Lindor, Machado, Freeman, Bregman and some damn good arms still alive. a few really good baseball weeks ahead

yanks have obliterated david price tho so they have a very plus spot today. if they can win tonight & split in boston they have a real chance imo. BOS is definitely better but a short series changes things and tbh NY did win 100 games..boys can rake and this is a good spot to get going

(like, yanks might really hang a number on price)

His first two starts against them this year were terrible, his last two were not. Shouldn't matter either way because his leash should be as short as Happ's was last night.

I just have no confidence in anyone in Boston's bullpen to come in and throw clean innings. If the series turns into a bullpen battle, New York is moving on.
