Using 2017 MLB attendance figures, the Marlins averaged 3,500 fewer tickets sold per game than the Pirates and only 2,300 fewer than the Reds. They also have the lowest seating capacity of any team in the NL.

I am just wondering out loud, aside from length of history, how much different are the Marlins, Reds and Pirates?

A lot of people who grew up rooting for the Pirates and Reds now live in Florida, and only go to Marlins games when their teams visit.

The history is a huge component to any contraction discussion. I can't think of a single hall of famer who earned his bust while playing for Tampa or Miami, even if they played a portion of their career there.

I was happy to see him get it but that was not an error on the SS.

The guy running out of the baseline I agreed with, should have been an out. The SS running to the OF and dropping a difficult basket catch was not an error imo.
