he was doing the bets because he didn’t like the quotes he was getting for insurance incase they won and he had to give away a buncha furniture... i’m guessing he probably came out ahead in the end

Strasburg opts out of 4 years/$100 million with Nationals.

This shows just how crazy money is in MLB these days, but pardon me if I hope Strasburg regrets this decision. Seriously, $100 million for 4 years, with the team that nurtured you and won a title with you, isn't enough? :roll1:

Probably not actually. He is still young enough to get another big deal at $30M per year. If you could get an extra $5 million every year for doing the same job, you would choose to do it, right?
