Mixed Martial Arts (Official Thread)

The fact remains that Cain fought a perfect fight and the precision with which he was firing off those pistons was something to behold. In my opinion, Cain's combination of speed, power and accuracy in that fight has only been displayed by a very limited few (e.g. Anderson Silva against James Irvin, Fedor Emelianenko against fill in the blank). I've been watching fighting for a long time, and what it reminded me of most was a young Mike Tyson. Cain looks hungry and mean.

Very impressed by Cain in that fight, did not realize he had that kind of power in his punches. UFC's heavyweight division has gotten a lot more interesting in the last year with Dos Santos, Cain, Carwin, Mir, and Lesnar all being very good. There is going to be some real interesting match-ups going forward in the division.

The accumulated beatings Nog has taken in his career may have finally caught up to him. Very disappointing to see because its hard not to like the guy.

Bader may have been the other guy that I was most surprised with on this card. Would have liked to see him mix it up more on the ground to get an idea of how complete of a fighter he is.

Sotiropoulos impressed me and he appears to have a pretty complete game. Would like to see him face some more top tier opponents at 155.

Fight Night 21 just finished up, KenFlo dominated and choked out Pride vet Takanori Gomi.

New season of the Ultimate Fighter on now.

Saw that KenFlo- Gomi fight, and I was the only one at the house who said KenFlo would win, although one of 'em said Gomi has looked like scUM lately...

and I totally forgot UF was on, thanks to you, I'm gonna hit up hulu tonight or tomorrow...
