Looks like he definitely has the size & hands to make some noise in the division

yah i really hope so...he is raw as hell...he has really only been fighting for maybe 2-3 years...i know stipe because my best friend fights in strong style...stipe was injured for awhile but my friend always said he was going to be a stud when he started...so if anything he is lacking some experience right now...im hoping he stays undefeated but the Heavyweight division is pretty wide open so even if he lost a match or 2 i dont think dana white would throw him out...just hope he eventually fights for a title...all u can ask for at this point

Well hello MMA thread, long time no see!

Anyone else up for another round of P4P voting after the next PPV or two? I'd say it's VERY necessary considering some of the fights that have already taken place. (Frankie losing his belt being one of those)

Alistair Overeem, what were you thinking?! Overeem likely throws his title shot away by testing for an absurdly high testosterone level. The question then becomes who his replacement will be.

Although it isn't likely, I would like to see Dan Henderson - he has been on a long layoff, and I don't think that he cares about the weight difference. He's never been knocked out - let's see his chin be put to a major test. Fedor has been mentioned as a longshot, and that would certainly create a circus-like buzz for the fight. Josh Barnett, who has failed many a drug test in his day, is a matchup problem for any fighter. The article below puts Frank Mir as the favorite. Hasn't Mir gotten enough chances already? The prospect of JDS - Mir is kind of bleh, unexciting.

Who Should Replace Alistair Overeem at UFC 146?

That means that someone else is about to receive a major opportunity. But who?

Here's a few possible scenarios. Some are remote, so consider yourself warned.

The Likely Pick: Frank Mir
Mir is nearly a lock to get the spot and face Dos Santos. He's coming off three straight wins, and the most recent one, a technical submission over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, is fresh enough in the minds of most to make him an interesting challenger. Not surprisingly, his camp started campaigning for the spot almost immediately. Within 90 minutes of NSAC executive director Keith Kizer revealing the test results, Mir's PR team had put out a statement to media saying he'd be "excited" to replace Overeem. As it stands, he's probably the best option.
Odds: 2:1

We will get another one of these going soon. It's been a little off-putting with the amount of injuries and otherwise long layoffs for so many of the top p4pfighters. But there have definitely been some changes since the last vote, so I guess we should fire it back up. Would just be nice to see Anderson Silva and GSP heal up and fight more often.

Can't wait for the Chael-Anderson fight. May be one of the biggest fights of all time. So much one-sided bad blood in that matchup.

Yeah, that's going to be incredible. I used to hate Chael, but he has been so impressive in his fights lately, that he has earned a lot of respect. I can't imagine the vitriol the Brazilian crowd is going to have for him. And how much Chael won't give a shit.

Anderson's going to have to come up with a better way to avoid the takedowns in this one.

Is it sad that every time I see Chael fight, the Kurt Angle theme music pops into my head....
