DaytonBuck

I've always liked them
Why is that every place under the sun now is trying to offer combination of mini hamburgers?

BK, every casual chain restaurant and now I go to steak and shake today and they're in on it.

Because they make a higher Gross Margin % with the little ones as compared to the regular sized burgers......and as my wife states they are sooooo cute....

Jack in the Box sells those 3 little wussy burgers for like $3.99. Give me a f'n break!!!! I was stupid enough to buy them once because I wanted to see what a schnauzer sized cow tasted like, but never again! They taste the same as a regular sized cow, but cost more and fill you up less.

Long live the 1/2 pound burger under one bun!!!!!

puhleeze... the steak and shake ones are bad.

We (Max & Erma's) tested them and decided not to. Had it been doable one idea was to have a miniburger sampler of our specialty burgers. (i.e. garbage burger, bacon blue burger, etc....)

FWIW, while I think the Steak N Shake miniburgers are bad, their butter burgers are pretty good, almost as good as Culver's

Well that stinks, because a sampler platter of Max & Erma's specialty burgers would actually be a mini-burger plate I'd want to order. Sounds yummy.

White castle was the original mini burger. They only cost 5 cents back when BB73 was a kid. The had a good product ( I hear) ,made from good meat and clean bldgs.
It's what ya crave!

This might not be true but the story I was told about White Castle on why there on so small and have to wholes is in them is that used to be around train stations and that was the fastest way to cook up quick food for the train passengers.

2 reasons. they cooked faster and the imprints (not holes) held the flavor in longer. They cooked faster because they didn't have to be flipped.
er so BB73 told me.
