I am under the impression that ever since the Muscletech situation and some other OTC products were found to actually work, go figure, that they were considered banned products as well. This is the defense that McGwire tried to use initially but they still said the products listed in their contracts as banned substances did include some OTC things. The use of stimulants aren't new either. Regardless, sounds like someone got caught.

PED's are the bane of baseball. Drugs not so much. He came out and said its complete bs so I'm gonna wait and see how this plays out.

If he took something OTC and it had something in it that was banned then its on him for not knowing. If he stuck a needle in his arm then I have a HUGE problem with it

Had it been maintained, no one but Braun and the MLB would have known about the original test.

His test result was twice as high as the highest level ever recorded. It was fishy from the start.
