A lawsuit filed by the parents of a youth football league player seeks $1 million from a coach they accuse of grabbing the boy by his helmet and jerking him off his feet.

Ricky DeMann, 9, was not injured last September but could have sustained serious neck injuries, said the boy's father, John DeMann.

DeMann and his wife posted a video of the incident on YouTube, a popular video-sharing Web site, that shows their son visibly upset.

The lawsuit, filed this week in Warren County Common Pleas Court, names coach Darrell Boreing and the Mason Youth Football Organization as defendants....

Did I miss the boat when my son's coach did the same thing in a practice during Peewee football! I should have threatened to sue him instead of threatening to kick his tail....:(

The guy immediately apologized (he realized he was in the wrong). And I don't think the guy was really afraid of me as he was bigger than I. he just realized that he had crossed the line.

I found out after practice that the guy had one hell of a bad week, topped off by finding out that his wife was diagnosed with cancer located in the brain. The incident was never mentioned again and never repeated I can understand his actions somewhat.....
